There hasn't been too many fights where Wanderlei actually looked bad while losing. He always put up a good fight before he ever lost/went down. Rampage got raped in his losses. But rampage has gotten damn better in comparison to his past. If the Wanderlei of old were to go against the new and improved rampage, I can't say who could win that one.
Jaunito even said Rampage has improved vastly since he started training him. I guess you think he's lying?

Tito says he's 100% before every fight. Dana says tons of shit...it's marketing bullshit. I haven't seen anything that indicates the dramatic improvement Jackson's fanboys are claiming.

I don't have a problem w/ the comments. Trash talking is a part of sports, it's not the most classy thing in the world, but it makes things interesting. Also Quinton probably wants a rematch. With Quinton being champ and Wand coming off a loss, the rankings don't call for a rematch, but if there is some drama involved and they "hate each other" then maybe it can be marketed as a grudge match.
Imo Quinton got his shot at Chuck b/c he beat Chuck the first time and there was a lot of interest and the fight happened. Maybe this is a way to drum up interest in the fight and make it happen. But even if it's not I like it when two fighters/teams don't like each other, plus I'm sure Mr. Silva will have something to say back to him.
He's been making excuses forever. He's won some good fights lately and I think he's more focused. Better? I have no idea. Henderson didn't seem really motivated on the ground in their fight and the Chuck fight had no indicators in it except that Chuck threw a dumbass hook to the body.
I just think Wandy has his number no matter what and that's that. Before he talks shit again, maybe he should watch the tapes.

The UFC has their own criminal connections, anybody with half a brain can figure that out. The bottom line is when Wand was in his prime, he destroyed Rampage, twice. I agree that Wanderlei has slowed down, I don't know if he will ever be king of 205 again. His better years are behind him. If Rampage and him fought now, I would say the match was much more even and Rampage could actually win it.
And yes, while Rampage has looked great, he isn't as unstoppable as some of his bigger fans make it out to be. In his last 4 fights:
1. Squeeked by with a controversial decision against a smaller opponent.
2. Beat a guy he is LEAGUES ahead of.
3. Beat a guy he already beat in quicker fashion (and credit to him for that, because Chuck had improved since they last fought), and regardless of the fact that Chuck lost the fight before he stepped in the octagon, Rampage didn't even get touched (lol).
4. Squeeked by with a controversial decision against a smaller opponent.
Yeah, he has improved (his stand up is noticably better. Anyone who sas otherwise is blind).. but I wouldn't say Rampage is kicking asses and taking names.
Regardless of how the fight would go now. Rampage lost, twice.. the end. No more or less to it. Wanderlei was the better man both nights and that is the end of the story.
And once again, Rampage has won many fights ending with controversial decisions, he is the LAST guy that should be complaining about shit going unfairly his way.
And (once again), in their second fight, there was 1 stand up that was wrong. It happens, doesn't mean the result would have been any different.
P.S. I think Juanito fills Rampage's head with garbage and that is where this shit comes from. I respect Rampage a lot, but he and Juanito have come out with some of the stupidest shit I have ever heard in their time together.
I remember Wandy being saved by the bell in the second fight not the ref. He was a good couple of punches away from winning then the bell rang.

Bas and Mauro were commentating that fight, Rampage had Wanderlei down and was landing strikes, the clock reached 0:07 left in the round and dissapeared, then 20-25 seconds later after we are all waiting for the bell and know it shoudl've sounded by now, Mauro says "the round has got to be over by now", and then it sounds.
So that goes against what Rampage was saying, that was to Rampage benefit not the other way around, I understand 5 seconds after the bell but not 15, that was ridiculous.
N yeah rampage is chumpity chump then since he got worked twice and the second one is one of the best MMA highlights ever, especially since it's a world class athlete getting KOed like that.
Rampage is bitter, I prolly would be too if I got fucked up like that after talking so much shit.

Personally, I think Rampage just made an excuse because he was expected to get Eastman out of there quicker, but Eastman is accually a pretty good striker.

I will ignore most of your ignorant bullshit, but to say a damn near 15 min. beatdown is worse than a 2 min. 1st round destruction is just retarded. Maybe as far as overall damage is concerned, but a first round KO always looks better on paper and means the winner was better prepared.
