Yes, there may be some truth to it, but those two fights he got whupped fair and square, so to just come out and attack Wanderlei's record just out of the blue?? Its all hype. Wanderlei does have a lot of Japanese fighters on his record(not highly known in the U.S., so they were cans according to Rampage), but that was Pride trying to have a Japanese fighter beat the 'feared' Wanderlei Silva. That is why Saku got three cracks at him, he was the best Japanese with the best chance. No Japanese fighter ever beat him.

I think Rampage is a different fighter now than he was in Pride. I think the training camp he is at is making him take this sport seriously.

I do think there is some truth to what Quinton had to say. Pride did put Wandy against a bunch of cans or fighters who didnt deserve to be in the ring to pad his record abit. The one thing I liked about pride though is that Wandy would fight anyone in any wieght class no matter what. There alot of fighters who wouldnt do that. How many lhw wieghts would fight Mark Hunt or CroCop?

I do also feel that the refs did help Wandy out with alot of standups that were not necessary. That being said Wandy kicked the shit out of Rampage twice. I think we would all like to see them fight again too.

I think if Rampage-Wandy 3 came about, Rampage would beat him. In Pride Rampages weakness was his conditioning. Now he has that under control.

They have a rule in pride that they stand you up if you are not active Rampage was laying and praying and it was for a long time. I hope you don't think that was ground and pound hugging a guy for ever on the ground with out hitting him but two or three times is not ground and pound to me.
