Bobby Lashley Vs. Kimbo Slice?
Quote:
Fightline.com has learned that Bobby Lashley’s management team has been throwing his name around to MMA groups including UFC and EliteXC. Bobby Lashley vs. Kimbo Slice is one fight that has been considered.
UFC isn’t too hot on Lashley, with Lesnar’s huge debut still fresh in everyone’s memory. It’s said they don’t want it to look like they’re repeating the same gimmicks and recruiting guys from pro wrestling.
Lashley might just end up making more money with TNA Wrestling than any MMA promotion right now, and the #2 wrestling company in the world is still considered an option for him. Kurt Angle has been pushing hard for him to come to TNA Wrestling and has assured him he has a job if he wants it.
He must have really hated WWE to walk away from seven figures a year.

Honestly,Lashley vs Slice interests me.I think Lashley would be a change for Kimbo,he'd be a real threat, and he'd be able take Kimbo to some deep water(the ground).
Most probably dont know this but Lashley is a pretty accomplished wrestler
Amateur Wrestling :
*Armed Forces Championship (2 times)
*CISM World Championship Silver Medalist in 2002
*Missouri Valley College National Championship in 1996, 1997, and 1998
*NAIA National Wrestling Championship in 1997 and 1998
I've also read a few places that he did some boxing during his amateur wrestling tenure.
I'd like to see this fight happen,I could see Lashley giving Slice alot of trouble.

That would be a good proving ground for both fighters with both really being untested fighters.

How do you know this???? Bobby has never fought MMA in his life. If it was a wrestling match I would agree with you but this is fighting not college Wrestling

That is the key, if he can pass a drug test. That is the reason he walked away from a seven figure contract with wwe. Would like to see the fight tho.

first, i put IMO in my opinion, and lashley is stronger then kimbo, and like it was said he is a great amatuer wrestler, I see lashley putting kimbo on his back and winning via GNP or hell even LNP but i dont see kimbo avoiding the take down...once again...imo

Lashley's wrestling creds are impressive, however.....
He wrestled around 170 right? He currently weighs around 273 I think (don't quote me) and looks like he drinks 40 oz.'s of pure steroids with every meal. The guy is an absolute roid freak! How flexible and mobile can he possibly be with all those roid/ beach muscles? I bet he can't even wipe his own ass.
I'm sorry, his wrestling resume is very impressive but in his current state I can't take this guy seriously at all. I think Kimbo would beat this dudes ass.

No, actually it was because his girlfriend (who also worked with WWE) was fired a few weeks earlier because of a dispute with management. He was also pissed because he was ready to come back for about a month and WWE dicked him around. Plus he's apparently one of those guys that doesn't really prefer the limelight and all the traveling of wrestling. But whatever.
I'd like to see him fight MMA. Not sure how good he'd do, or if he'd pass a drug test, but I think it would be interesting.
