Rumor: CC vs Sergei at DREAM.4

"The article (originally in Croatian) states that CC was supposed to fight Sergei at Dream 1 but CC declined the fight stating that would be too tough of a match for him after a six month break. Now they moved the fight to Dream 4 which will take place in mid-june and it will apparantly be made official in about a month possibly on April 29th which is Dream 2. That is when Dream is supposed to announce the fight. In one of Mirko's quotes he said " I am not approaching these fights in Dream as practice for UFC comeback instead I am treating every fight seriously." I think CC vs. Sergei would be a great fight. Sergei is without a doubt one of the top heavyweights in the world."

AWESOME. First it is great to see sergei back in action, defiantly top heavyweights and second great to see Cro cop in with some real competition. Should be a great fight and hopefully a devastating KO for Cro Cop so he can come back and dare i say "whoop dat azz".

I agree!!! It will be really nice to see if Cro-Cop has anything left in the gas tank with this match Sergei can be a beast to handle and I am glad to see both these guys back in action.

I think that's exactly what CC needs, some real tough comp that he'll go all out for and take seriously. I just don't believe he took GG and Kongo that seriously.

I don't even care if CC loses the fight, I just want to see him back at 100%, with his fucking head in the game. Once he gets his head right, I believe we'll see a more vicious CC than we saw back in 2005-2006.

Agreed. I think Sergei is going to be a good test for him too because Sergei is a great fighter. Sergei, before and after Cro Cop's downfall, has the tools to stand and strike with him. Sergei is borderline top ten IMO.

I am glad that Cro Cop isn't planning on going on a stream of cans and then Fedor. This should be a good fight, if it happens.

However, while I don't think Cro Cop took Gonzaga seriously, I think he did take Kongo seriously. I think he was so tentative from the Gonzaga KO that it just wasn't there. Even in the first round, where he beat Kongo, he still wasn't there.

Sergei, there is a foot with your name on it.
