I agree - Wandy/Liddell rematch makes no sense at this time. It seems pretty obvious.

So most would agree that doing the rematch quickly isn't a good idea, even though the first fight was pretty close and its bound to be another big money maker? I don't necessarily disagree, but I can see the logic in it... Silva vs. Liddell seemingly was cursed for a couple years, might as well strike while the iron is hot

As for whether they should or shouldn't have an IMMEDIATE rematch, I'll remain unbiased. But comparing the detesting of the fights Ortiz v. Shamrock 2 & 3 as well as Chuck v. Ortiz 2 (and possibly, but highly doubtful, 3) to the idea of Chuck v. Wandy 2 is plain stupid. Even those who don't want to see an immediate rematch b/w Chuck and Wandy still WANT to see that fight again- unlike the aforementioned Ortiz fights. AND I"M NOT SLAMMING ORTIZ before those who like him get up in arms.

agree. i can think of 2 cases where there should have been an instant rematch; bisping vs. hamill & rashad vs. tito. other than that, i too enjoy rematches a few fights down the road because usually it's a completely different fight...but sometimes thats a bad thing (forrest/bonner 2).

The problem with this rematch is if Wandy wins somehow, then they would have to go straight to a rubber match. This would be bad for Chuck seeing as to he is 38 years old and is close to retirement.
