I don't know anyone personally who used to dig MMA and doesn't now because of the popularity. It's a strange article. I know people who like indie music do this, which also makes no sense. Just because some band is unsigned or on an independent label doesn't make them any less shitty, or vice versa. But I haven't really seen this attitude towards MMA in general.
Even the UFC haters in the Pride UFC debate still admitted watching the UFC. Maybe this dude is just more worldly than I am. But If i was watching two dudes duke it out on the street, I wouldn't walk away because more people started watching. I'd leave when the cops came. Lol.
