It'd be worth seeing again tho, and with both still being so young and early in their careers, I think it'd be safe to say they'll meet again. Not that Im a huge Diego fan or some sh*t, but I'd like to see Koscheck get beat. He just comes off to me as a bratty little punk.

why does everyone think that diego can't take koscheck down? dave menne took koscheck down. just because you have good offensive wrestling doesn't mean you have good takedown defence. i would take diego over koscheck in a rubber match. and i knew koscheck started to hate diego because diego simultaneously gave him his first loss and the worst assbeating of koscheck's life. i'm sure diego had no thought of disliking koscheck until koscheck started talking trash. after their first fight, on tuf, diego said to the camera that kos was a "strong warrior."

A healthy Diego is going to give him all he wants.
Then again, Koscheck can always try to lie on Diego for 15 minutes like Fitch did. Thing is, when Koscheck took Diego down at UFC 69, Diego had his back within seconds, and the bell saved Koscheck from much unpleasantness.

Agreed, KOS beat a Diego that was VERY ill, and wasn't even dominate doing it, Fitch didn't dominate, and did a lot of Lay n Pray on him, and Fitch didn't look that great in his last fight either, which was funny, because he immediately started asking for a title fight, when he wasn't very impressive.
I think Diego put on some nice muscle mass, and looked in excellent condition in his last fight, as well his new training has helped him as well.... I see bright things for Diego this year.

I really do not think Diego has earned his rematch with Kos yet. The guy is 1-2 in his last 3 fights, mean while Kos has recently beaten Diego, went the distance with GSP and KOed Hazelete(sp?), all Diego has done was destory some first timer in the UFC. I really think Kos should fight Hughes and Diego should perhaps fight the loser of Alves/Karo. Then the winner of Hughes/Kos vs. Diego/Loser for the #1 contender @ WW. Or vice-versa, Diego could fight Hughes, I mean Hughes wanted to fight Diego a while ago but the UFC protected Diego from him. Now that Dana no longer needs to protect his pet project Diego, then why not have Hughes smash him?

i really have no interest in seeing this fight any time within the next 2 years. why would diego want to go and lose another fight anyways. diego needs to get back on track and avoid koscheck.

Not until GSP v. Serra and Alves v. Karo gets sorted out will the UFC decide what to do with the WW match ups.
In my opinion...This is how I would assume it would shake out...
I think if GSP wins against Serra, they set up Serra v. Hughes, Fitch v. GSP (for the title), and Kos v Karo/Alves winner for next title shot....Leaving Sanchez v Karo/Alves loser.
If Serra wins....Serra v Fitch, Kos v. Hughes, GSP v. Karo/Alves winner, Sanchez v. the loser.
Thats just how I would assume things would shake out. Doubt Sachez gets that fight with Kos right now...He hasn't earned it yet...
And probably a bad idea for him to want to fight Kos already...Taking all the personal hate everyone has for each fighter out of the equation....It's a bad match up for Sanchez. Kos's boxing is better, he's a little bit naturally bigger and stronger, and he dictates where the fight takes place. His boring ass loss to GSP and TKO win over Haezlett was nothing but a confidence boost for him. I see him handling Diego in a rematch fight now. Especially right now because Sanchez will be looking for the "homerun" in a rematch and I could see him getting caught...
IMO, Sanchez is cementing him self as the gatekeeper of the top 5 UFC ww's.
1. Serra
2. GSP
3. Fitch
4. Hughes
5. Kos

i respect both of them, but i am not a fan of either one of them, i think they need to fight again, both have a win each, if they do fight to me it really doesn't matter who wins, as long as they finish it and not let it go to decision, and let there be a difinitive winner.
