I agree man, Diego looked very small compared to Fitch and Kos, I'd love to see him fighting at 155lbs. I think he would be a real contender there because at WW I see him as gatekeeper for the top 10.

Exactly, I think Kos just wants him to have to wake up every morning knowing he lost and wanting that rematch like Kos did for a couple of years. I think Kos would step up and take the fight without question. Kos can be a dick but I think he's game and it said alot that he could go 3 rounds with GSP, I'd be willing to bet my house that Diego couldn't do that.
huh? he went three rounds with fitch and karo, 2 other top contenders at WW. i dont see why he wouldnt be able to hang with gsp. im pretty sure diego would get his ass beat by georges, but thats not saying he can't go three rounds with him. i dont really see why everyone is up koschecks ass so much. he hasnt beaten anyone that tough. just because he got his ass handed to him for three rounds by GSP doesnt mean hes suddenly such a much better fighter then diego. i don't buy it at all. i think a healthy diego would beat the hell out of him. besides, kos couldn't even finish the job when diego was sick

Yeah, and Diego couldn't finish him when he had little to no MMA experience except for TUF. Everyone acts like Diego is going to run through him when they fight again and he wasn't able to do it the first 2 times, what makes it any different now, especially now that Kos has alot more experience in the cage. I'm not saying Kos is a lock to win, but I'm not going to sit here and act like Diego is a sure bet either when he hasn't impressed me at all. He fought and beat Karo, who I think is overrated, I'd love to see how he would do against GSP. It's just my opinion, doesn't make it right, but I'm entitled to it.

To me Fitch is just a level above snooze boring, and overrated. As I've said in other threads, the main thing he has going for him is the horse's neck that allows him to escape dangerous submissions (which he gets into often) that other fighters would tap to.

Diego you might not like as a person, but you honestly think Fitch is a more interesting/exciting fighter than Diego?? If so, I am just speechless and would like to understand why.

Even Koscheck...TUF-era and shortly thereafter Koscheck was really boring, just pure LnP. But, while I too dislike Koscheck as a person, I give him props as a fighter...I think he's developed probably as much in the last two years as anyone in the UFC. I think he's a fairly interesting fighter to watch; not as interesting as e.g. Diego, but probably more so than e.g. Fitch.

But again, to me, my question is with Diego...if you truly think Fitch is more interesting/exciting to watch fight than Diego, I'd love to hear why.

Dude, you know we can discuss shit and disagree and be civil about it, we've had many debates before and they are always civil. Now, with that said, I don't remember saying that I didn't like watching Diego fight or that he wasn't exciting. I also don't remember saying he wasn't more exciting to watch than Fitch. Please tell me where I said these things because I don't remember saying them or thinking them.

I like watching them both about the same. Diego is fun to watch because he just goes all out, his sprint across the octagon actually makes me laugh my ass off, and that's entertaining. I don't think you'll hear me ever say any fighter is boring, I enjoy just about any fight as long as there is some action, these guys lay it all out there and I always give them props and respect even when the fights aren't all that fast paced or extremely exciting.

Fair enough.

That'll be all for me for this thread...too many Diego threads for me and I start to acquire the reputation of a "fanboy"

I know there are plenty of people that dislike Diego as a person, and I generally understand why even though I don't agree with them. But I cannot believe any true MMA fan wouldn't consider Diego as a fighter very exciting/entertaining to watch.

Similar to how I feel about BJ Penn. My Penn hate is pretty well established on these boards; I am no fan of him personally but, being an MMA fan, I love watching him fight and I have to give him props as a fighter. That's the way I would assume MMA fans would feel, at a minimum, about Diego.

Dude, are you serious? Diego will destroy Kos and Fitch.......Bahahahahaha, what makes you think he will DESTROY them? DESTROY is a pretty strong word and if you believe this you have no clue about this sport.
