IT WASNT A DIVE!!!
Just look at the fight, Ken got Ko'ed because he has very poor boxing skills. His feet were planted in the ground and there was no head movement what so ever, also look how high he likes to keep his chin when he strikes, on the first day of a kickboxing class this is the first thing you will learn : chin low, shoulders high and FUCKING MOVE!!
Also it looked like he was just waiting to counter with a big right Chuck Liddell style... it never came though
EDIT: After watching the fight again, I must take back what I said about his foot work... it wasn't THAT BAD, but he was failing to create angles and didn't even try getting his opponent against the cage so he could clinch. Also that punch that Ko'ed Shamrock looks more fake every time I see it. I think Shamrock's heart shrunk after he went for that take down and got pushed away.

I think it was a dive. Yes Ken has a weak chin and bad boxing skills but that has nothing to do with him just collapsing after a right hook that didn't even connect properly.
Scary to talk about but i think it was a rigged fight to bolster the guy he was fighting and make Shammysome cash. Now UK has a mini mma celebrity.
Ken almost never tried to take the guy down even though his specialty is submissions.
Fights that completely defy logic raise heavy questions. I say he took a dive for cash. Not some lame reason like he didn't want to get knocked out so he lay down nah he put u p a show and went down in the first which was probably the agreement.
Guys sorry to say but sometimes fighters take dives and at one point it was pretty regular thing in Boxing. We aren't used to seeing it in MMA because the big money hadn't been present to prompt it. Now the money is there just like in boxing and trust me folks you will see more fights like this in the years to come especially with the older guys that quite frankly need the money.
I have a question. What were the betting odds for the fight?

I cannot say with certainty whether that was a dive or not (neither, I believe, can anyone here), but what I can say is that that left jab did appear to really rock Shamrock.
It's not like he pulled a Bo Cantrell on us...he was clearly hurt from not only that left jab but the entire standing exchanges, which already formed a pretty bad knot under his right eye. Maybe at that point he was, in fact, looking for a way out or maybe he was truly dazed and out of it...very difficult to judge by watching it, and certainly that initial GIF that was posted is only a very small part of (and I'd argue not even the main part of) the picture.

it was and was not a dive. he was hurt by the jab right before the last shot, he was breathing heavy, wanted no more of it and went down. the guy should just know when to hang the gloves, that's all.

Who ever saying it was a dive is completley ignorant. Ken is clearly past his prime, and in a prefight interview he looked so worn out that it was almost sad. The guy is so banged up from all these years there is no way I can take him serious anymore. Hang em up Kenny your done.

I've been saying that forever. Just like when he quit in Pride and people cuss me out constantly for it like Ken fucking Shamrock is some kind of God. He's crap. He'll go down in my memory for getting smashed over and over. The only thing great he did was let it fly with Mr. Frye.
Edit:
I guess I need to clarify. Maybe he doesn't THROW fights per se, but he sure as hell looks for a way out in a lot of them.....that's not the same as throwing it for personal gain. I just think he takes the pay for the fight and then gets out.

I guess you started watching MMA after Ken's pro wrestling stint?

That was some shammy fish floppin' bullshit. Why does he force the fans to endure this embarrassing behavior? Hang it up, move on, do something else to promote the sport.

Yeah I think at this point he is just embarrassing himself and us fans. He is past his prime. Nobody can dispute what he did for the sport back in the day.. But cmon Ken. The sport has EVOLVED and passed right by you 5 years ago. I loved Ken Shamrock for many years but this is just embarrassing. He needs to focus on his gym and promoting the sport instead of poorly attempting to fight.
