anderson silva is the most badass dude in ufc history.
didn't he break the middleweight record for defenses?

I read someone mention Chris Leben as a contender...All I have to say to that is: No.
But yea - Yushin will probably be next in line. Unless Anderson moves up in weight? I hope he tries to get avenge that loss first.

He already made Okami and Leben look pretty bad... Almeida is up there, but Fihlo and Lindland would makes the most sense at this point (imo).

gotta be okami. after him, who knows. not only do i not see any other middleweights doing at all good against him, but i don't even see someone near the top that he hasn't beaten. maybe they'll fast track bisping to a title shot or they'll pressure wandy into dropping. who knows.

Jesus. Anderson Silva is a freaking monster. Seriously.. the show he put on was just masterful. He rocked Hendo and then slapped on the choke (while he had that vexation that is the body triangle on). This man cannot be stopped. When I saw that choke coming, I don't remember the last time I've been so freakin' excited. I jumped up at my buddy's house and started flipping shit. It was amazing.
All respect and kudos to Hendo. I love the man. But damn.. nobody can downplay the skill of Silva and don't even say Hendo "gave up" or anything. The choke was set in, it was deep, Silva's legs were applying pressure to the diaphragm-area of Hendo... there is no way the man could breathe at all. It happens. He got caught.
Great fight, and what a great champion we have.
