i promise you, that if ever i found a way to become asian i would do it just so i can prove to you that i'd still be laughing. i'm mexican and hear jokes about them all the time. i don't always laugh because its not always funny, but when it is funny i laugh. that's what humor is. when carlos mencia says beaner 60 times in a minute, i don't laugh cause its not funny. when jim gaffigan makes the joke about mexican food, i do laugh because it is funny. i dunno if you're asian or not, but seriously, its just a joke. he's not calling all asian fighters that. he's not calling okami or nakamura names like this. and its not like he has a history of it or even perpetuated a stereotype. he made a joke on the name of HMC. its the same as someone saying frank glamrock or phil baloney. get over it, man.
It's weird. I'm Asian, but I obviously can't speak for all Asians. Honestly, though, I just don't get the humour behind jokes like "ching chang chong." Well, I do if they're used sarcastically. Like when I try to make white people feel guilty for a remark that may be racist, haha. Good ole race card. Anyway, I think it depends on the individual- I don't watch Comicview for it's insightful commentary on the social climate of America.
Regardless, I think this is just another case of the UFC seriously needing a public relations agent.

What is funny is that I can bet the most of us all tell jokes between our friends that can be viewed as racist even though it is seriously just a "joke". I know I'm guilty of it but who isnt? Now I guess it is a lil different with Dana though since he is the President of the UFC and now days you really have to be careful with what you say on camera. Good to see people with a sense of humor still these days but I guess there is a time and place for everything.

but Dana is a businessman, and he just insulted an entire race. a race that actually makes up a majority of the entire population of the Earth, to make a point that he doesnt like Fedor because he didnt sign with the UFC.
