Could M1 be the new Pride?

Just curios on thoughts about this. With Fedor already there and Randy perhaps on the way. Others will follow. AA could be gone. Tito is shopping and there a quit a few others who could migrate there from various organizations. ALOT of these fighters have Huge fan bases and these few I listed alone could create a nice base, but with the pot being stirred as of late could this be the place to replace Pride and give UFC a true competitor?

I would give WVR or the new K1-Zombie Pride collaboration both a better chance than M-1. At this point in time Fedor is the only competitor that they have under contract and yet they are trying to get an arena booked for an event in 12 weeks. Shit like that makes me believe that they aren't going to hold up long. Especially since Sibling Entertainment (the people who bought M1) have pretty much zero in liquid money.

YEA, they only have one fighter under contract.

You can't compare them with Pride.

There will never be another PRIDE. The UFC has too many former PRIDE marquee names for another organization to come close to being the next PRIDE. What is the new PRIDE without Nog, Shogun, Wandy, Cro Cop, Rampage, etc.? Randy only wants to fight Fedor and then retire so he would be a one time investment for M-1. Tito is a big draw but if he loses to Machida his name value will drop even farther after going 0-2-1 in his last 3. And AA is an excellent fighter but after dropping 2 to Sylvia and getting a few sloppy wins he isn't the draw he used to be at all.

Who could then? Someone is gonna pick up UFC's disgruntled fighters. I cansee them following Randy and Fedor though...

Meh even if someone grabs up the handfull of disgruntled employees, they won't have enough to really make an impact. Especially since the disgruntled employees all demand big money.
