Default Banning Affliction

OK, when it was first posted on Cagepotato, I kind of shrugged and said "consider the source" and withheld judgement until after 81 aired. But after seeing fighter after fighter in non-Affliction gear last night, I'm going to recant my earlier position and say it's obviously more plausible than not.

The goons from TapouT really annoy the shit out of me, but it seems like they're going to come out ahead in this...unless it's just a psuedo-viral marketing effort to make Affliction even "cooler" by banning it [although I don't think I have a single tee shirt that I paid more than $5 for, I don't hate the Affliction designs, I just don't like the wannabe tough-guys who sport them like it makes them bulletproof.]

But did anyone else have any thoughts about this, or new information about Affliction actually starting an organization?

Or do you think its more pettiness because of Randy's Affliction affiliation?

rh

Edit: Mods, feel free to move this to the old thread if you need to...

Didn't Brock Lesnar have on an Affliction T-shirt on his way to the ring?

And I know someone wore one to the weigh ins, I just can't remember who.

That sucks. I like Affliction shirts. They're comfortable, and some designs are pretty sweet. Now I have to go out of my way to see the new GSP shirts.... the whole skull thing is really lame though.

This is a big advantage for Tapout now with the worlds leading MMA product banning their top competition, but don't IFL teams usually wear affliction shirts? I know the anacondas did for a while

I think it has to do with both, Randys affiliation with Affliction and that they are rumored to be starting a fight promotion. Unless someone wants to make a statement officially on the subject all we can do is speculate. Seems awfully suspicious that the Afflicition shirts were missing from the Xtreme Couture fighters.

I thought it was another brand that began with "A" I'll have to go watch it again when I get a chance...but I thought it was a knockoff brand.

It would have been cool if Brock had come out with a shirt with Smoogy's design.

I thought that was Affliction too. I guess it wasn't? Man, if not, that was a straight-up knock off of Affliction.

Yea, no way that wasn't an affliction shirt that Brock was wearing.

Can anyone produce a still shot?

I haven't DL'd the event yet, so I cannot. I'm sure someone else will be able to.
