Man I was super impressed by Lesnar. I totally agree that losing was good for him. He is for real. In his second MMA fight I think he did a hell of a job.

He's a beast. Give him some time. The match up for Mir was kinda of a bad one for him anyway ,EVan thou he hand picked mir. I would take Lesnar over Kongo anyday. His hammer stikes looks so damm powerfull and fast. I just hope Lesnar takes it slow instead of fighting the Big names right out of the gate.
I gave Brock a small chance to win, but Mir has more experience and knows how to keep his head when he pressured, so he was my pick for the match to win. Main thing is Brock needs more experience and with every match he will have win or lose, he will learn what he needs to work on to develop the skills and gain the experience he needs to become a great fighter.
For his size he has amazing speed and agility, if he continues with the maturity he showed after the match and works with good striking/JJ coaches I can see him becoming a top 5 fighter with in a few years.
With his strength and sense of balance he will be a hard man to push around and he wont be easily pinned against the cage even by Tim, I already feel sorry for any poor bastard who will have the misfortune of getting slammed to the mat by him.

As many times as you type this, I'll have to respectfully disagree. Resetting the match was the right decision. I don't care about the point...it didn't matter [the very definition of moot point, I guess] but the fight needed to be reset. There were several shots to the back of the head, not just one.
As many times you disagree, i will type it again and again...i do worry about the point deduction, because it can give a big damage when it comes to decision (like what happen to Ortiz/Rashad match) so it Does Matter...fight needed to reset indeed, but not the b.s. point deduction.

I think he knows what he's doing, he was kicking Mir's ass and Mir is obviously afraid to engage.

Because he is a new comer.

What is it about Brock being LUCKY that he did not get DISQUALIFIED do many of you not understand??? He could and WOULD have gotten DISQUALIFIED by any other ref how is that hard to understand... Does the Frank Shamrock Renzo Gracie fight ring a bell. they don't always stop it when they warn people many times the giv it Verbaly which non of us know and it is Verry COMMON to be Disqualified for Rabbit Punches.

As long as we can agree on the fight needing to be reset, I'm fine. As Ubermensch has pointed out, we don't know if he was verbally warned or not...but watching the fight again, he does have several grazing shots and two solid shots that were fouls.
The point deduction could have made a difference, but it didn't, in this case. And if it makes an impression on Brock that he needs more control in the cage, thats a good thing.

flailing around like a kid in a schoolyard isn't striking. He had a great knockdown, but he got frenzied and wasn't making any attempt to control his strikes. To me, that indicates he needs to get some serious training before he fights again.

Brock has tremendous potential, and as so many people have pointed out, losing was probably the best thing for him. So yes, right now, I wouldn't put him top 10, even just in the UFC, but that may well change in the future.
I thought Brock was gonna put Frank away. I literally jumped off my couch and started screaming at the tv. Great fight. No shame lost in that one. I think if Brock can train with a Matt Hughes or someone who transitioned well from wrestling to mma, we'll have a new champ in a couple years. I do think Steves point deduction was bs. I've seen fighters get multiple verbal warning and nothing else. Brock made a rookie mistake against one of the best HW BJJ players. I'm officially a Brock Lesner fan.
I think that Brock was screwed really, if steve hadnt stood them up brock woulda pounded him out like that last guy he fought. But i guess its ok he will bounce back soon....Id like to see him fight Tim Silvia though, id think that would be a bad ass fight..

I agree here, but the point is that Brock was throwing wildly n the first place. Ref calls, good or bad are part of the game. If Brock hadn't been throwing so wildly, he wouldn't have given Moz the opportunity to issue a bad call.
