Default Just got back from UFC 81 (Spoilers)

WHAT A SHOW! live, it was awesome...ill run down the prelims real quick...

Emerson/Nakamura...Emerson should have pulled the trigger more.

Eastman/Martin...i won my AV bet YAY! but seriously again Eastman should have pulled the trigger more. i think he respected Martin's power a little too much. he tagged him fairly good with some shots in round 3 and could have finished if he kept it up.

Boetsch/Heath...im guessing after that that Heath is out of the UFC. Boetsch is definitely a guy to watch though! seeing him toss Heath like a rag doll was SICK live!

Lytle/Bradley...WOW! i love Lytle's new found, explosive style! he pummeled Bradley. the crowd went ballistic, and seeing a crowd reaction like that is an awesome experience i must say.

for the main card...Griffin/Tibau was bullshit! Tibau was robbed, and Griffin again won another controversial decision. maybe i was caught in the moment with the rest of the crowd, but almost everyone there booed the decision. and that was not the Tyson Griffin im used to seeing, worst fight of the main card.

Almeida is impressive! ive never seen the man fight before, but he is definitely gunna make 185 interesting...crazy he held onto that guiollitine after that slam on his neck, got us all OOOOing and AHHHHing LOL

up until that point, Jeremy Horn had the hugest reaction of any fighter (until Mir came out of course). we were all pulling for Jeremy, but a great performance by Nate. i smell an Almeida/Marquardt rematch in the near future...

the place blew up for Mir, awesome reaction!!! then the place booed the hell out of Lesnar...it was like watching the WWE when he was their top heel. Lesnar will be a force at HW in the future, for his second fight he looked very powerful and was basically manhandling Mir up until the submission. i dunno how it came off on PPV, but the first stoppage was very awkward. we didnt know WTF was going on until the replay. when Mir got his leg, the roff almost came off!!! i almost lost my voice...what a moment. ill never forget that as long as i live! Brock definitely made a lot of fans tonight, im sure his reception will differ greatly in his next fight.

and finally, Nog/Sylvia was a great way to end the show. Nog again took his usual beating and came back to tap Tim, it was aww inspiring to say the least. hopefully Randy comes back and fights Nog...we can all hope anyways right? i must say, im a fan of Tim's now, and i never thought i would be. he showed good character and a lot of cheers went his way after the fight. looking forward to seeing both these guys come back.

finally seeing Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and Stone Cold was FANTASTIC! LOL

ok thats my live experience recap...hopefully it wasnt too boring haha! thanks guys

had a blast watching it, and i hope it came off as good on PPV as it was live...and hey, only had to hear Joe Rogan after the fights haha

a lot of the websites out there scored the fight for Griffin also...it blows me away. i guess Tibau's TDs werent good enough for these refs like they are for so many others. Griffin had the better stand up, ill give him that. i only gave him the first round, and scored the other two for Tibau. it was crazy being in the middle of an entirely pissed off arena after that fight LOL

I thought it was a riot seeing Stone Cold, sounded like they cheered louder for him than anyone tonight...lol

i may be lucky, but you'll be even luckier at 83...the reaction GSP is going to get is gunna be worth going all together!

it was 3:1 on the point must system apparently. Tibau got the take downs but Tyson seemed to win the stand-up, octagon control and ground defense. At least I'm guessing.

I must admit, Brock had me won over until that knee bar. I chalk that one up to inexperience. He will be back and he will be a force...eventually.

man it must of been awesome live in the arena. I honestly couldnt score the griffin fight some of the punches that got great reactions from the audiance during the exchanges i think missed the mark. and the ground game was kind of back in forth in my opinion with yes he got him down and a few times controlled for a little bit. but i also think that the stand ups to most took that away. and the clinch i gave barely to tibau. as for octagon control i think that was to close to call in my opinion. i think tyson is just racking up the this one needs a rematch. almeida was insane that one must of been amazing to watch. chris was again improving greatly with his new style. sadly i was not greatly impressed with nate nothing from him but it just didnt look good overall in my opinion the first time i watched it second time though when i slowed some things down and looked closer i thought you know this is alot closer than its looking. heath getting dumped on his head must of been crazy to see live. was he dumped to your direction or away from it? i wont discuss the lesner fight anymore lets just say i was very disappointed in it nothing from mir to come back with the knee bar. and nog sylvia was wow ive question sylvias striking alot to myself not his power obviously just his technique but he looked outstanding tonight. and i think if anyone could of knocked nog out it would be the tim we saw tonight. i cant wait for that rematch. and as for nog i just dont understand how he weathers so much punishment in his fights or how he recovers from it so clearly. again dude i envy you for being there live it must of been great and free dude i would of bought a lottery ticket that day or spun the hundred dollar slots just once with that luck.

yeah i actually got called friday night by my friend saying she had tickets, and i was all over it! lol

as for the Heath/Boetsch fight, i actually missed the entire fight, right up until that throw and the finish. we went to grab a beer and as soon as we went back, Heath was getting beat on...it was great cuz the crowd went nuts!

id say the best part about the live show was the crowd reactions! i almost lost my voice cheering for Mir...i really envy everyone going to UFC 83...GSP, nuff said.

lol yeah thats going to be a great one and so is hendo silva. GSP is looking great but ever since the first fight and knowing there would be a second i just cant shake thinking that serra will win with a submission. alot of people over look his bjj not saying i mean they dont respect it i just dont think they realize the strength he truthfully has there. and if i was serra my game plan would be all bjj. not taking from GSP on his cause what he did with hughes was just sick watching that fight i mean man it looked like hughes had never seen mma before. i mean it looked almost as bad as if they had thrown GSP a can but it was hughes i dont like hughes but that personal and i dont think he is as good as his rep is made out but he is still a very talented fighter and like i said he looked like a rookie in that fight. I will be happy if GSP wins the second one and sets up a third meeting and i will not be shocked if serra wins the second meeting. I like serra but i honestly thought he was gonna get destroyed in the first one.
