Why no love for Vladimir Matyushenko
As someone said to me a little bit ago, their is always talk of who people want to see back in the UFC. Yet no one ever brings up his name, and when people talk about who is borderline top 10 no one mentions his name.
Vladimir is a damn good fighter, who has not lost in 5 years since losing to AA, and that fight was at hw.
He has wins over Rizzo, Lil Nog, an other decent comp. He has only lost 2 times in the last 8 years and those losses coming from Tito and AA.
I think he is just one solid win away from the top 10. He deserves it over people like Thiago Silva and Rashad.
what do you all think

I'd like to see him back, guy wins a lot of fights, also you can't really hold the arlovski fight against him b/c it happened when Arlovski was rolling over everyone he fought.

Matyushenko absolutely mauled guys in the IFL, and I wouldn't mind seeing him back in the UFC. He could certainly more than hold his own, even in a division that stacked. Don't know if he'd quite crack the top ten fighting competition like that, but I've definitely got tons of respect for him.

Last I saw he was crushing cans in the IFL. I think he's great and hope he makes his way back to the UFC soon.

Yeah, I've stuck up for Matyushenko in a few threads and people thought I was being all weird. The guy is probably the best fighter in the IFL (I bet the IFL was terrified of him fighting Rothwell) and he is solid all around. He's not the most exciting fighter, which is probably why the UFC isnt too interested in him.

Vlad would have beat up Rothwell.
Thats why Vlad fought at 205 in IFL
