Default Ben Rothwell and his future.

Sense his comments about Hughes leaving MFS camp, he has been quite and so has news. His manager is Monte Cox, so i wouldn't be suprised if he ended up fighting under the m-1 banner however i remember reading about him saying he wants to fight in a cage.

Now he is rumored to be one of the guys fighting Fedor, and really it does make sense from the stand point that he is a Cox fighter.

Personally i'd rather see him in the UFC, not because i think he'd take over the heavyweight division but just to see how he would fare, inside the octagon.

He gets beat by the top guys however i think he gives a tough fight to guys like Kongo, Vera and Mir. I think he could be a middle of the pack guy, and his fights are good slugfests so they could do much worst than Rothwell.

Imo Rothwell has a lot to prove and needs to get that IFL shield off himself and needs to come to a organization like the ufc and prove he is better than people think he is. Until he goes somewhere else than the ifl, which seems like he won't be going back than he is always going to have people hate on him based on the fact that people think he got a couple of very favable decisions.

So where do you see him ending up and how do you think he'd in the ufc.

If he tries to go right into the UFC, he'd get murdered by just about anybody.

If he doesn't immediately sign with M-1, I see him going with Elite XC, Strikeforce or something like that.

I dont know what to think about the guy. On one hand he hasnt lost in forever and you kinda have to respect that but on the other hand he did get those decisions that I didnt agree with (especially the Roy Nelson fight). I do think he is better than "the Manic Hispanic" and has potential to beat a few of the guys the UFC has signed. More likely than not he will end up fighting for M1 and will probably get a shot at Fedor. I could also see him get picked up by EliteXC as a potential showdown with Antonio Silva as well.

I forgot about Eddie Sanchez and yeah i think he would be him too. But for a division that clearly lacks exciting fighters, and looking back a some of the sleepers in the division in 07, that a guy like Rothwell becomes valueable because you know he will provide you with a good standup fight.

He really needs to work on his conditioning too, if he goes to M-1 i'd like to see a fight between Alesander Emelianenko and Rothwell, that fight will deff result in a KO and most likely result in Rothwell laying tits up.

I would really like to see him fight Fedor to see how he does. I mean if he shows good against Fedor then maybe the UFC might want him. Everyone expects Fedor to beat him anyways.

Fedor will destroy him in the 1st round. I think he has potential but he still seems to be a lower lever fighter and his technique is pretty sloppy. He's got a good win streak but he doesn't seem to be improving his game.
