NSAC to implement random drug tests
MMA News

NSAC to Implement Random Drug Testing
On Friday the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s executive director, Keith Kizer, announced that the commission has decided to expand testing for steroids and drugs of abuse for fighters licensed to fight in Nevada, and fighters applying for a license, through random drug tests.
The NSAC already tests fighters for anabolic agents and drugs of abuse immediately before and after fights, but the new procedure will up testing to take place randomly throughout the year. The additional tests will be paid for by the NSAC.
The means to determine who is tested falls into three categories. If someone has tested positive for a banned substance in the past they may be chosen. Additionally if a fighter is suspected of using a banned substance they may be chosen. The third and final means of testing is through random selection.
Tests must be completed in a given time frame by the commission or actions will be taken (i.e. denying a fighter’s license, suspensions, fines, etc).

We'll see. With random testing, and no way to time cycles to detox by testing time, I think your hero will be busted again. Real.

Sherk is only a tip of the iceberg. Lets not forget that the same week sherk was caught, that about 7 other fighters including his opponent were caught. Theres more fake athletes in this sport then anyone probably really knows. Hopfully this helps clean up the many cheaters in the sport.

Wow I guess they are serious about cleaning up sports in America period. With all the investigations into steroids supply's and shipping it might only be a matter of time before all professonal sports adapt the Olympic drug testing standards.
