Color Commentator
Is it just me or are most of the newer organizations color commentators absolutely horrible. Last night I watched a replay of the Elite fight with Rua vs Lawler, and I have to say I could bare stand hearing Bill Goldberg run his mouth. The guy is just HORRIBLE with the mic and with interview.
Then today I watched a replay of Art of War II and listening to Kenny Rice was about to make me through a shoe through my HDTV. Their interviewer in the ring was absolutely horrible, commentating SUCKED.
The only org that I see that I can handle listening to is the UFC and WEC (Mir actually does really well I think). Perhaps Zuffa actually understands the importance of having commentators who know what they are talking about, at least the majority of the time.

Bas is good in the IFL. and Frank Shamrock does occasional spots for Strikeforce and is pretty good as well and Barnett is good and does spots for i think Bodog. Guy Mezger is good, but he's only on HDNet i think. there's plenty of good color guys out there, but most good ones often remain active as fighters, so they don't get the chance to always do color. however, the guys that seem to keep popping up are horrible, such as Trigg, Jay Glazer, and Bill Goldberg. for some reason those three keep popping up and ruining shows.

I agree. Kenny Rice is a complete tool and he sucks. He knows NOTHING about MMA and should be taken off the air ASAP

The only good commentators outside the UFC are Bas Rutten and Mauro Renallo (and he was better in PRIDE than he was in Elite XC. He has gone very Mike Goldberg by overhyping shit)

You mean only color commentators, right? Because I think Quadros is damn good.
When Quadros and Ranallo comment together, which one is actually playing the role of "color"?

did anyone here rogan last night when he was like I think the fights shouldnt get stood up I feel if the guy wants to molest him for 5 minutes he should be allowed to. I was caught completely off guard on that one lol

You guys are mixing things up there are 2 types of commentators "Color" and "Play-by-play"
Kenny Rice is a Play-by-play commentator, Bill Goldberg is a "Color",and yes they are both terrible.
