UFC 83 cancelled?

sorry if this was posted a long time ago or what, i tryed a search but nothing turned up so if their is something feel free to merge it.

i just checked mmaweekly and it says ufc 83 is cancelled. just wondering if anyone knows why. the card looked super weak anyways but i dunno why it was cancelled.

I had heard a while ago that it was simply being moved from England to America? It's cancelled now?

Makes sense. 3 PPV's in 4-5 weeks is a bit much in my opinion.

Still can't wait until 84 though! I've been checking UFC.com everyday waiting for tickets to go on sale!

yeah in my thread i didnt list 83 as a choice either because nothing is confirmed for it at all.

well if ufc 83 is cancelled, then wouldnt ufc 84 technically be ufc 83?

You are talking about an organization that had UFC 37.5 - So to answer your question, no, it will still be UFC 84. Quit using logic.

ya no joke man i'm with you. i think the ufc has so many great fighters with such deep weight classes they could do two events a month. one being free. maybe something like a fight night and a ppv.

last week was ufc 80, this week was ufn, & next week is ufc 81. i can definately get used to watchin ufc once a week. sux though after next week, the next event wont be until the begining of march when silva beats hendo .

similar to the summer when they had ufc 74, 75, & 76 bunched together in a small time spand. it's good for the fans, but at the same time, it sux for the ones who actually dish out the money to watch the events (although sometimes its worth it). i have the luxery of watching em all free so i can never get enough ufc. if they score a deal with another network to produce more live shows, that would definately kick ass. sux hbo didnt go through, but hopefully another station such as nbc or something will pick up the fastest growing sport in the world for some live events.
