I would tend to disagree with that. Obviously randy has acheived much more than coleman has but aside from that I believe randy has many more tools than the hammer does. They started out much the same with wrestling backgrounds but I believe randy has evolved far beyond coleman. I certainly would be interested to watch them fight though.
IMO.... Coleman=poor man's Couture+roids? JK
But I think they would have a really good fight. The guys Coleman has lost to have all been top of the food-chain guys. I think the Hammer can still get it done against the middle of the pack. If he fought Couture I would take coleman with the odds, I honestly think that Couture has become way overrated(if you look at it he's considered the best because he beat Timmy and Gabe.). Or maybe they can have him fight his old protege Mark Kerr.
Coleman was the original GNP guy... He deserves this honor and I do think he could still hang. Didn't he stomp Wandy on his head after he broke Shoguns arm... or something like that? LOL

I believe Coleman "stepped on Silva's neck" according to one of the interviews that i saw after the Shogun/Coleman debachle. Besides, Coleman should be in some sort of HOF based only on his celebratory fall over the ropes back in 2000

Of course he belongs there. I do like the idea of a UFC oldtimers day where they have a UFC tourney like in the old days and bring back anyone they can....Royce, Dan, Don, Mark, Kimo, Ken....you know, the oltimers club.
I bet there would be some great fights out of a tournament like that.
LOL. I love Mark Coleman. I used to hate the guy when he was good because he seemed like an asshole. But watching him in his latter years showed me the funny and human side of his character. I dunno if it was intended or not but in any case, Mark Coleman deserves this. One thing I dont get is why UFC decided to do this. Did Coleman announce his retirement? Or since when does Dana White give a crap about the oldtimers? If anything, many of the old timers dont have good things to say about the current UFC. Maybe this is just a PR stunt
Well, whatever the reason is, I applaud Mark Coleman.

Where is Harold Howard's induction! I mean he's gotta be sitting at home - knuckles busted up and blood on his white outfit from pummeling anyone in his way - just waiting for Zuffa to call him up! He's probably sitting by his awesome phone just waiting and thinking to himself ''If you're comin' on...Come on Zuffa!''
Coleman would still kick a lot of ass in the UFC, without good standup and great sprawl or BJJ you´re gonna have huge problems with him. Coleman did learn some boxing, but not enaugh to be really effective on his feet like Randy. And unfortunately his sub game really sucks. Still he managed to take Fedor down and take his back when they fought 2004. Imagine if coleman had actally hired a BJJ trainer when he started mma.
I really don´t think Don Frye will ever be in HOF. Not b/c he wouldn´t deserve it but b/c of what he said when Zuffa bought pride. =)
Mark Coleman is the man, even if Hammerhouse ruined a lot of potential greats (himself, Baroni and Randleman.. who gives a fuck about Sims) but hes a class act.. as well as Randleman, even Baroni.. he deserves to go into the HOF.
