technically they are club champions but they still fight the best fighters out of all the other supposed champions out there, most other club champs wouldnt even rank high enough in the ufc to challenge for a title at the moment including the exc champs so theres no need to call the ufc out on this untill you actually have a guy who is even in the position to be considered a more legit champ

yeah i think if they had "mma champions" majority of the fighters in the ufc would be keeping their belts. the hw title is in the air still, but i will say that if bj wins sat then he would be the best lw in the world.

Those wouldn't offer the exposure and boost of legitimacy that he would get even in losing against UFC. For UFC to even consider attaching its name to EXC right now is win/win for shaw and lose/lose for Zuffa.

seriously i dont care what anyone else thinks...Gary Shaw is an incompetent prick! the guy has been talking out his ass for far too long now. why doesnt he establish champions in all his weight classes before he even thinks of trying to compete against UFC fighters.

he has KJ and Lawler, thats it...no one for WW, LHW, or HW. KJ would get crushed by any top 155er in the UFC. and Robbie, ive always liked Robbie, but there is no chance of him beating Hendo or Silva. i think he'd eventually fall to Franklin as well.

then people may argue that "if Mike Pyle had agreed to fight for the belt, Shields would be their WW champion." true, but EXC f*cked up by treating Pyle like shit. they didnt even give him a shot in hell in that fight, it was all about Shields. how can they be taken seriously if they only promote their poster boys? yeah, Dana has his poster boys, but they've all been beaten and he knows they arent necessarily the best out there.

does the UFC have all the best fighters in the world? absolutely not. but its where everyone wants to be..."the club" everyone wants to be a member of Gary. establish yourself more before talking all your shit.
