Lightbulb Polish Fighter Pawel Nastula Invited To Team Quest

Quote:
Former PRIDE Fighting Championships heavyweight Pawel Nastula (1-3) has received an invitation to train with Team Quest, out of Temecula, Calif., the 1996 Polish Olympic Judo gold medallist confirmed to The Fight Network on Saturday. News of the possible collaboration was first reported by the Polish Web site Budo.pl - ¦wiat Rozmiarów Pola Walki.

“Yes, I did receive an invitation from Team Quest,” said Nastula. “We spoke about training, but I have yet to decide whether or not to head over there.”

In December 2006, Nastula was suspended for nine months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after he allegedly tested positive for the anabolic steroid Nandrolone, as well as the non-approved stimulants pseudoephedrine, ephedrine and phenylpropanoalmine, following his PRIDE 32 loss to Josh Barnett on Oct. 21 in Las Vegas.

The 37-year-old Nastula has yet to reach an agreement with Zuffa LLC regarding his contract, which was transferred to the American-based company following the buyout of PRIDE last March. While the Polish mixed martial artist continues to train, it is still unclear when he’ll return to action.

“I’m trying to decide whether or not there’s a point [in training with Team Quest],” said Nastula. “They have some of the best and most knowledgeable fighters, but I need very big and strong training partners, ones who are close to my size – they don’t really have anyone like that.”

I hope it helps him a lot, b/c Team Quest today is on downhill losing streak.
