Terrell was the last EVEN DECENT STRIKER.....Wow. What about RAMPAGE JACKSON. THE GUY WHO KO'ED LIDDELL? That fight was a 3 round decision that could have gone either way.
Anyway, Dana White is an idiot. He hypes up idiots and mediocre fighters like Sylvia to make money, then turns around and flat out badmouths top rung fighters like Lindland and Fedor because they won't roll over for his bullshit. He thinks he's a big bad bully and he's a punk. I'm over it. As long as I get some good fights, I'll still watch. But not for Dana White.

It is possible that Lindland could beat Silva, but I am not sold on that yet. Hendo has the tools to beat Silva, but Lindland, IMO, is a lesser version of Hendo right now.
Let me put it this way.. if Lindland can beat Silva, Hendo definitely can beat Silva.
if Hendo can't beat Silva, Lindland definitely can't beat Silva.
I still think it is in Dana's best interest to sign Lindland and expand the MW division.

Can you clarify which Sylvia you are referring to? There's an awful lot of them...

I think it would be an entertaining fight, either way.
A lot hinges for me on Wandi dropping or not [I hope he stays at LHW]. If he doesn't, I could see signing Matt to make potential for 2.3 solid title fights this year...if Wandi does drop in weight class, I could see them putting Matt on ice for another year, out of spite, if nothing else.
But I'm less inclined to believe the rumors that Wandi is dropping today.

It really does not make sense for Dana to publicly bad mouth a top MW when when his MW division is so thin. It also makes no sense to put down Lindland when his training partner is about to fight for the MW title even when his is putting Henderson over at the same time. BC I doubt Dan is taking this as a complement to himself.
It is a time's refreshing to hear someone is Dana's position to speak freely and say what they really think. But Dana should really learn when to be more diplomatic sometimes especially when he has something like a top MW to gain.

If Dana is forced to promote a fight between Lindland and Anderson, then how's he going do so after Anderson just defeated someone " 10 better than Lindland"?
|
Good call. I dont think TUF is going to produce the kind of people who can handle Anderson. Hendo at least is getting older and if he wins we could see him diminish over the next couple of years. Hendo could also fight some of Silva's casualties.
If Hendo loses, TUF just isn't going to be TUF enough for Silva. We might have to make him a diety; or bring in Lindland to buy Dana time to find more 185 talent. I wouldn't ve surprised to see some weight class changes like maybe a GSP/Silva fight.
Hendo Vs. Silva? Not really sure. I like Hendo's wrestling background with Silva. I like Silva's striking with Hendo's tendency to look for big punches. I might have o flip a coin on this......but it will be a really nice coin....you know...a silver dollar or something.

Sadly he is young enough to be an asshole for years.
