IMHO I agree it's not the greatest list...but Lytle/Gilliam was pretty impressive, Griffin/Rua was totally unexpected, and GSP/Hughes was my favorite because he totally dominated Hughes, then he nearly tore Matt's arm off and had Hughes screaming to end it.

All things considered...it was a pretty damn good year for submission victories in the UFC.

Maybe now some of the "fans" will stop booing and screaming for the ref to stand both fighters up when a fight goes to the ground.

As far as non-UFC subs, I think Joachim Hansen's rolling-RNC over Kazuyuki Miyata at the K-1 New Year's show was amazing !

Maybe I'm just impressed 'coz I saw it recently, but I was not expecting that move after "Hellboy" took his back in side mount.
