Alright so I'm starting a fight gear company
It's kind of a long story how this came about, and I know TheDonTurtle has already established a brand of his own (much love btw Donnie) but I'm starting a website and will be designing t-shirts, fight shorts, gi patches, hats....you name it. The only thing is I have come down to 2 names for my project and can't decide on which one is better. Here are my options:
1. HERO - I think this one is catchy, and it is rebellious in a way. Imagine a guy with a ton of tattoos wearing a camo shirt with the word "HERO" in big white letters across the chest. I like the edginess of this one, and its overall appeal.
2. Eighth Avenue Athletics - This one would be more elegant looking (if that word can possibly apply to this sport) as the logo would be in extravagant cursive font. There are 2 things of significance in this case: one is obvious, eight being the number of sides in the octagon and the other is that Eighth Avenue is the street that Madison Square Garden is located on, and that's pretty much synonymous with any combat sport.
So what do you guys think?

It kinda depends. I've got a lot going on financially right now (MMA classes, college, trip to UFC 81 in early March, and Paris in mid-March) so I have a little time to look around for supplies and come up with design ideas. I'm shooting for spring - summer tho, but it should definitely be up before fall '08.

As long as you make shirts that have skulls with wings on them, it will be a success. Kids can't get enough of those skulls with wings. Or skulls with chains dangling from them. Or a skull, covered in chains, with wings.

i like the idea behind Eighth Ave. Athletics, but you will probably have an easier time making designs with the HERO name. Either way i would love to see you products man. Best of luck to you.

Lol, yea some stuff is way overpriced, but i really dont mind spending 40-60$ on affliction tee's. They fit awesome, material is great, and they last look decent as well.
