I guess there is a difference between being a MMA fan and a MMA fighter cause a MMA fighter would never find a boxing match boring being that Boxing is one of the main basic principles of cross training for MMA itself.

The Huerta fight was a great fight. But the Mayweather fight was also a great fight. You cannot compare the two of course.

But Mayweather display pure intelligence, quickess and just plain superb skill, and those knock outs he lay on Hatton was scary. Plus Boxers has that punching power that cannot be explain. If you look at the Mayweather fight, it was like a action pack chess game.

You have to really appreciate the sweet science to appreciate a great Boxing fight like that just like people have to appreciate the ground game to appreciate when guys like Josh Bernett and Big Nog are rolling while displaying great grappling skills, submission attempts and ground defense.

In Huerta's case he display more heart than anything to overcome Guida's great wrestling skill. And with that heart he defeated Guida in his own game.

Both sports have their pros and cons, me being Hispanic who was raised in the inner city, I grew up on Boxing and I love it as a sport and fighting style, but me being in my late 20s, I love MMA and took Brazilian Jutjitsu because of it. So I love and enjoy both sports. Too bad not too many feel the same way.

I watched and enjoyed both, its a tough call IMO.. I mean ya the TUF card was exciting but you have to remember

its 6 fights that didnt go longer then 3 rounds vs a 10 round boxing match.. and the only fight that I found to be great on the TUF finale outside of the J-Rock fight was the Huerta/Guida fight.. the other fights were good dont get me wrong, but really nothing amounted form them.. they were all fights between reletively rookie fighters who are just trying to gain experience, and try and get the foots into the door

where-as Huerta/Guida was the only impactful fight between two top contenders.. and it was a great fight IMO if you want to go TUF Finale vs one Boxing match.. its still close

but if you go Main event vs Main event.. I give it to Hatton/PBF

because theres really a difference between the two here... since fights in the UFC are only 3 rounds more people are more inclinced to watch the undercard of a UFC event.. but in Boxing only the diehards are going to watch the undercard because of name-sake.. the undercards are usually exciting, but the mentality is.. your going to sit through 12 rounds in the main event anyway so you have a decision to make.. sit through 3 12 round fights and not be tired, or just wait until the main event.. it makes sense to me.. if the UFC were 12 rounds do you think people would seriously sit through the whole card up until Huerta/Guida? I guarantee you the only fight that would of been watched would be Huerta/Guida

and this is not a biased opinion ^ AT ALL, this is my personal perspective because I enjoy enire UFC cards and one of the reason I sit through them all and love it is because.. 3-5 round fights.. sometimes too much action is not a good thing. I do watch the undercards on a boxing match too but it depends on whos fighting, I am a boxing die hard so I do have a lot of favorites that are unknown.. but most boxing fans arent really interested in the undercard fighters.. but the main events themselves.
