UFC Running a Card One Week After UFC 82?
December 06, 2007 By: Paul Balsom Category: UFC
If you listened to The Savage Dog Show on the Sherdog Radio Network yesterday, then you heard some insider information from Greg Savage regarding another UFC fight card in March. Greg Savage made this announcement during the first hour of the broadcast:
I have found out that [the UFC] will be running a show one week [after UFC 82] on March 8 in London, England. The first fight I’ve heard is… Michael Bisping is going to be taking on Charles “Chainsaw” McCarthy at 185 pounds. [Bisping’s] taking the step down to middleweight and is going to be fighting on March 8 in his home country.
There is no word as to whether this card will be a UFC PPV event or an Ultimate Fight Night. Also, no word has been given as to whether this bout will be the main event or not. Hopefully not.

Since UFC 83 has been fairly strongly rumored to be all but set up on 4/19/07 in Montreal, I'm assuming this one will be not a PPV but an Ultimate Fight Night.
I haven't read anything about this elsewhere besides this article (and didn't listen to the SDS where this was discussed).

185 is a good move for Bisping. Should make for some interesting match ups.

Bisping vs. Capt Miserable??? WTF! do they really need to give Bisping a can like McCarthy? why when he took Rashad to the limit, should he be taking a major step down in competition? makes no sense.

Every good fighter deserves a can now and then. Besides, despite McCarthy's pussy attitude hes actually a decent fighter.

Bisping vs. Kampman would be good. I'd take Bisping

i think if you're going to bring back a fighter for bisping at 185, loiseau would be a good move. if he finished him i think it would be a good way to introduce him to 185 and if he lost then it'd be a good way to get loiseau back on his feet.
