Danzig to drop to LW After Saturday, Win or Lose

I walk around at 170, those guys walk around at 190, so it’s not a good idea for me. I really want to make a run for a title, and 155 is my weight class. I feel that within a couple of years I can be a world champion at 155.”

Mac Danzig has come a long way from battling it out on the small show circuit, and now that he’s here, he’s not going anywhere.

“155 is the toughest weight class there is by far, and that’s where I’ve got to be,” he said. “I’m looking forward to jumping in the mix with those guys and I think that’s where the exciting fights are.”

Pretty sweet. I think he will do big things at 155.

Yeah, it had to be done. You can see how much smaller he is than the other guys on TUF and I think you are really going to see it in the fight against Tommy.

wow thats one cocky son of a gun saying he'd beat Hughes and GSP a number of times lol. I think Danzig is a good fighter but he carries himself very arrogantly. Good idea for his career to move to LW though.

I think Tommy might be able to push him around some, but ultimately I think Mac will get the sub.

He also said at 155 he feels he could make a run for a title within a few years. Thats pretty humble IMO. I like Mac...he's good example for TUF.

Yeah, there is no surprise here. He has always been a LW, no shocker to see him moving down after the finale.

LW is pretty stacked itself so he'll have a long way to go before getting a title shot there but at least he'll be the same size as everyone else. But still think that Griffin, Sherk and all those guys would beat Danzig.
