didnt anybody read this and tell the author NOT to put this on the web for the masses to scrutinize. it is so poorly put together its laughable, if i believed in negging i would be negging whoever created this thread, but i dont.

Agreed.
And the UFC 72 being played at 2pm EST was not a big deal.. it was still played at 10 PM EST, just it wasn't live.. no one was inconvenienced..
This guy is just being an ass.
2007 has been the most exciting year in MMA, HANDS DOWN. To say the UFC (and Dana White) failed this year is just absurd. |

This site is based on articles/ news being passed around the internet, some will be poorly written and full of bias. To blame me (thread starter since you couldn't figure it out) for its contents is just plain stupid.

Exactly. Blame Dana cause he's the ONLY one making ALL the decisions in the UFC. Right. I love how he gets blamed for the titles jumping around. Would you rather the fights get rigged!? He's not the one fighting!
Dana did an awesome job in 07. I can't wait to see what kinda fights we see in 08.

I agree with the rest of your post, but UFC 72 did not have replays for some cable providers. Dana himself came out and said that was the main reason UFC 72 was a fuck up; b/c they didn't have same day replays and a lot of people went to order it @ 10 pm and it wasn't available.
It wasn't available for DirectTV subscribers. I remember b/c I was one of the people who went to order a replay only to find that there were none. I had to dl the individual fights for UFC 72. It sucked. |

I am not a Dana fan, but the shit that this guy is mentioning is not only speculation but some can be construed (sp?) as positive
The Pride aquisition, although in hind-sight the $ value may have been a bit high, was a much needed for the expansion (and monopoly) of the UFC
They have a TV deal, just not with a "premium" cable company, which probably means dick outside the US
This guy is the worst kind of hater, one that cannot look at the UFC or Dana's actions non-biasly
