Paulo Fihlo v Chael Sonnen??
Is it just me, why is this match happening? Anybody that looses to Jeromy Horn 3 times should not be getting a title shot so soon. hes lost to babalu, terry martin, and a bunch of other UFC notables. the only major thing that jumped out at me was a win over Jason Lambert and a draw to Gomi?

Sonnen is not a bad fighter. he just has not been looked at as champion material by anyone, and thats why people think this fight doesnt make any sense. but i actually feel it will be a good one, and Filho will have a harder time here then he did with Doerksen.

Filho dismantled Doerksen and Doerksen fights Ed Herman in a UFC fight. Once Filho dismantles this guy, will Sonnen also move up?
I am so confused. Perhaps Filho's desire to get back to Japan will keep him out of the UFC.

I'm actually looking forward to this fight. Sonnen's aggressive ground and pound has made him susceptible to BJJ guys in past, but he seems to have recognized that as a weakness and made the changes to his game.
Matt Lindland, who trains with him, was saying that he is amazed at how much he's improved and that before now he had never really trained as regularly as he should have.
