I think Franklin could very well hold his own at 205. He may not be the champion but he does have the skill to compete with the best up there.

This weak chin thing has to go too. The guy has been TKOed once, just once. And I'm pretty sure if he got back into the ring with that guy he would win the rematch. He has never been KOed and yet everyone swears he has a weak chin. Wandy Silva got KOed in 44 seconds, does he have a weak chin? Randy Couture got KTFO twice by Liddell, does he have a weak chin? Until Franklin gets KOed I dont think you can say the guys got a weak chin.

Exactly...The weak chin thing comes up with alot fights.

no one swears he has a weak chin! lol but its been questioned quite often and Franklins Chin has hardly been tested, so people are curious if he has a weak chin or not no one is saying he has one! but we'll definently see after the silva fight

and I doubt if Franklin fought Lyoto again at 205 that he would win the rematch, Lyoto is gettin so much better as a fighter and hes undefeated and very dominate.. I dont see anyone beatin that guy for a while.. if Lyoto was at 185 id give it to Franklin, but at 205.. nah.

Franklin definately has the talent to hang at 205, but he's in a situation where he probably walks at 207-210, which a little small for LHW, and is huge for a MW. Very similar to Dean Lister in that regard.

he would thrive and probably get a title shot but couldnt hang with the top contenders, but would beat anybody else in the lhw. but at mw he is the best besides henderson.

You're the same guy making the claim that Wand was Ko'ed and you were set straight by several people... Wand has never been KO'ed, it was a TKO, KO you are out, TKO means the ref stopped the fight. Did you actually watch the fight or any fight you ever comment on? I wonder sometimes with your statements.

His resume is impressive HOWEVER, show me some strikers on that list? 1, The Crow and that's it. He was dropped by 1 punch from Tanner and 1 punch from The Crow very late in a fight after he was being pummeled for mny rounds so there was nowhere near as much snap on his punches at that point however Franklin still dropped.

Iron chin fighters just do not get KO'ed, it is not a matter of "eventually they will fall" BS, Fujita has eaten the right hand lead of Fedor and not been Ko'ed, Warpath ate some of the hardest punches I've ever seen courtesey of Bas Rutten, Big Nog has eaten Fedor punches, Little Nog has eaten huge shots, Cabbage, Hendo, Hunt, etc. these guys to not get KO'ed and have eaten punches from the hardest hitters in the world.

Franklin got sropped 3 times by a single strike and the Lyoto strikes did not even land that clean. MOST people know and admit Franklin has a questionable chin, the reason his record is so dominant is because he has great takedown defense and is a great striker, he will own wrestlers and grapplers all day. Well rounded fighters like Lyoto give him trouble the problem is that he has not fought enough well rounded fighters or great strikers, we will see what's up at UFC 64.

Franklin is very crafty and is great at avoiding strikes but he is now having to face A. Silva who is a world class striker as well (the crow is a good striker, not a world class striker, he does not have the angle game mastered), this fight will show us what's up and I would not be surprised to see Franklin take the fight to the ground.

Yes 210 but still, the guy has 4% body fat so he could walk around heavier should he chose to, just get on the Chuck Liddell diet.

the first time he fought tanner was at 205 and he dominated... and yes he dominated shammy too,....i think he could hang..

I think it is time to put the Hendo thing aside, he is a phenomenal fighter and two years ago would have walked through Ace, but recently it appears that age and time are catching up with him and I think that Franklin would be too fast and maybe even the stronger of the two. Don't get me wrong, Hendo in my opinion is the greatest middleweight I've ever seen but he just hasn't been the same recently. Hendo is due to get beaten soundly by someone, maybe even knocked out. The same thing happened with Couture and will one day happen to Hughes. Having wrestled in college and knowing what cutting the amount of weight they ask does to your body, wrestlers tend to break down sooner then guys who have done less grappling. Couture might be the exception because everyone loses a step at forty, but it takes a toll.

Wanderlei would fuck him up.Babalu would tap his ass out.Chuck would knock him the fuck out.Hell even Tito(who's no where near a the best at 205)would take him down with ease and fuck him up.
