Rampage is a very good striker though unlike anyone that Chuck has fought recently
and like you said, Wandy's takedown D is not like Chucks so its a different matchup.. Chuck is facing guys that cant strike, but can work on the ground.. but they cant take him to the ground
the guys Wandy is facing can take him to the ground, Arona has done it and beat him doing it.. and Wandy then beat him.. im just saying that the guys Wandy fought had a better chance of beating him then the guys Chuck fought JMO on that

I know exactly what you're saying, though I don't think it's fair. You're docking Chuck for being better than Silva at TD defense, and at the same time giving credit to Silva for being less skilled at TD defense. Though I suppose it's a two-way street, it does show you that Silva can survive on the ground with guys who are good there. The way I see it, however, is that Silva may have better ground defense than Chuck, but Chuck is still being more impressive because he's not even letting his opponents take him to the ground. And, personally, I think it's impressive how Chuck can just stand up with a guy strapped on his back even though he was on the bottom.

no no! im not doing that at all and I dont think its fair either cuz Chuck has beaten everyone thats been put in front of him.. but yet no one that is being put in front of him really stands a chance because they dont match up well for him. Silva has the luxury of fighting in a deeper division, hes seeing better fighters so ya it isnt fair in that regard but really I believe Chuck can go to Pride if he wants to and fight there and should do so.

Yes Chuck should go to Pride... If he beat 2 of the 4 top LHW in Pride I would say he is doign well...
1) Silva
2) Shogun
3) Arona
4) Little Nog
You must also understand that Pride is much more like an actual fight. Since when is kicking someone in the face not legal in a street fight? In a fight you will almost always have the knees to the face of a downed opponent open and kicks to the face.
You can't do that in UFC and kicks to the face alter fights and do tons of damage, Just ask Sakuraba after his 2005 GP 2nd round fight with Arona.
2 kicks to the face in 2 different rounds resulted in 2 Sakuraba eyes being completely swolen shut and were about the size of baseballs, Sak looked like an alien at he end of the fight.
PRIDE rules are truer to an actual fight and I like that. There is never a cage in a street fight, if the fight goes to the ground it's typically a wide open area therefore Pride restarting in the center of the ring is exactly like it would be in a real fight.
Pride rules are much more difficult than UFC rules therefore fighters like Wand who have great success in PRIDE (going undefeated in his weight class for 5 years) it is more impressive IMO because Pride has rules that end fights with a single strike like a knee to the face or a soccer kick to the face (of course the kick to the head and punch will Ko someone as well and are legal in both orgs), just as the case in a street fight.

But the UFC is trying to steer AWAY from being a street fight. Pride is also, though to a lesser extent. Lucky for them, they don't have the NSAC breathing down their necks. I'm sure Pride doesn't want a total street fighter either.

If you like street fights then you want to watch Felony Fights, not MMA (I like both, but there is a big difference). There is never a ring in a street fight either. Not all street fights, not even most that I've seen, are in a wide open area. And personally, I think using the cage as a weapon is closer to a "real" fight than restarting them in the center of the ring is...

its not even about being a street fight
MMA allows all types of fighting, in the UFC they had to cut down on rules cuz it was banned in so many states when they allowed certain things
in Pride, you get to use all your weapons.. Rampage is famous for those knees in half guard.. he cant do those in the UFC not fair to him I say.
Wandy is famous for kickin dudes in the face while there down, not allowed in the UFC
When you get to use all your weapons you truly find out how good a fighter is.. thats why I prefer Pride rules, no limits to what you can do as compared to the UFC.
