Yahoo! Sports, MMAjunkie.com’s content-partner site, will stream next week’s UFC 78 weigh-ins live and free of charge.
The stream will be available in the Yahoo! Sports MMA section.
The weigh-ins are set for Friday, Nov. 16, and UFC 78 takes place the following day, on Saturday, Nov. 17. UFC 78 features a main event between light heavyweights Rashad Evans and Michael Bisping, two undefeated winners from “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series.
The pay-per-view event takes place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
The same venue will host the preceding day’s weigh-ins. Doors open at 3 p.m. ET. The event is free and open to the public, but for those who can’t attend, the online stream will begin at approximately 4 p.m.
As with all other UFC events, MMAjunkie.com will have live coverage of the UFC 78 weigh-ins, as well as the event itself. Stop by for detailed round-by-round updates of both the preliminary and main-card portions of the event. (MMAjunkie.com will also be on scene for next week’s Strikeforce event in San Jose, Calif.)
In addition to Evans vs. Bisping, UFC 78 features televised bouts of Houston Alexander vs. Thiago Silva, Joe Doerksen vs. Ed Herman, Ryo Chonan vs. Karo Parisyan, and Frankie Edgar vs. Spencer Fisher.
UFC 78 will be the first UFC show to take place in New Jersey since UFC 53 in June 2005.
