Hopefully Dida will be the guy in his place, I think he can take Uno.

K-1 HERO'S: INJURED GILL OUT OF TOURNEY
By Mike Russell (gfn@thefightnetwork.com)
Indian-born, Port Moody, BC fighter Kultar “The Black Mamba” Gill (9-6-0) has been forced to drop out of his K-1 Hero’s Middleweight (Under 154 lbs) Tournament bout due to a shoulder and neck injury. Gill was to have faced popular Japanese fighter Caol Uno (24-9-4) in the tournament’s semi-finals September 17 at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan, after readily defeating Hideo Tokoro (18-12-1) by TKO at 4:47 in the opening stanza of the tournament’s first round last July.
The Revolution Fight Team member lost to Uno by submission a year earlier at HERO’s 6. Training with teammates Jose “Pele” Landi-Jons and Bibiano Fernandes, who faces Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto that night, Gill predicted the outcome would have been much different Sept. 17.
“I finally took off two months from work to train for the first time in my life. I was on a roll and was training super-hard for Caol Uno,” says Gill. “My jiu-jitsu had improved tenfold. Training with Pele has been awesome. I finally have a guy that can strike with me who I don’t knock out. We’ve had some wars. I was looking and feeling so good but now I can’t lift my arm over my shoulder. I can’t even do one push-up. But you know, shit happens.”
Gill says he was in the process of signing a lucrative deal with the Japanese organization, though 28-year-old Indo-Canadian says he would likely continue to work as a corrections officer.
“This is not enough money that I’d be able to quit my job or anything. I still have a mortgage to pay and I don’t have any sponsors,” he said.
Gill will meet with an orthopedic surgeon next Wednesday to confirm if he requires surgery.
Gill could not name his replacement for Sept. 17, while various Internet outlets are reporting Chute Boxe fighter André “Dida” Amade (5-1-1) will replace him. Amade quickly dispatched Artur Oumakhanov (5-1) in a tournament reserve bout in July.
