Default UFC academy

I know that they have the WEC and TUF, but do you all think that that the UFC would benefit from some sort of academy where lower level fighters wanting to catch on with a higher level team or maybe showcase their ability for the WEC or UFC could go. I think that they could do it a lot like the TUF program where there would be a training facility that would have teachers in different disciplines in to work with fighters for a few days and then go vack to their own teams. I think that the UFC could call on older fighters who might not be active anymore, guys like Ruas, Severn, even Gracie to come in and give pointers to younger fighters. IT would be a great way to develop fighters and weed out fighters who aren't at the UFC level. There seems to be too many guys who who come in with inflated records against cans and get their asses kicked. I think that this would be a way to lessen the number of those fighters. What do you think? IT has worked in baseball before and in other sports. Just a thought.

Most training camps are basically like that already. Camps like American Kickboxing Academy don't only have UFC fighters training there, they also have some fighters working their way up on the smaller shows. Same goes for camps like Jackson's, MFS, Xtreme Couture and others.

Nah. Plenty of other orgs out there where guys can gain experience. When the guys are ready the UFC will pick them up.
