The ufc's light heavyweight division or heavyweight. this is ging to be a fedorless heavyweight division. for lhw u have quinton, hendo, wandy, chuck, shogun, Tito Ortiz, Machida, Forrest Griffin, Keith Jardine, Nakamura Michael Bisping, and Rashad Evans.
where the heavyweight division has Randy Couture, Big Nog, Cro Cop, Arlovski, Gonzaga, Herring, Kongo, Mir, Tim Sylvia, Brandon Vera, Fabricio Werdum and a few others but not to many.
damn that is so close but idk. whats your thoughts???

Don't forget Nakamura

Light Heavyweight is where it's at! There's so much talent there that it's unbelievable

LHW. Not only are they incredibly top heavy they have a lot of really good fighters fighting it out just to even be considered in the middle of the pack.

Dead even, I think that there is more talent by number in the LHW division, but the HW division is great because it is so evenly matched. I think you can make a case for any HW in the top 10 beating any other HW in the top 10.

depends on if they get Fedor or not

right now lightheavyweight, the fact that they can just fire babalu lets you know how goddamn good that division is

They are both pretty stacked obviously. I was thinking let's take the mma weekly rankings and mmanews rankings and see how many of the top 10 fighters they have in each division. I didn't list the MMANews rankings because both MMAWeekly and MMAnews have the same top 10 in both divisions with exception to rashad, but i think nakamura goes ahead of him

MMA WEEKLY HW
1. Fedor Emelianenko
2. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
3. Mirko Cro Cop

4. Josh Barnett
5. Randy Couture
6. Gabriel Gonzaga
7. Tim Sylvia
8. Andrei Arlovski
9. Fabricio Werdum

10. Aleksander Emelianenko

MMA WEEKLY LHW
1. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua
2. Quinton Jackson
3. Chuck Liddell
4. Dan Henderson
5. Wanderlei Silva

6. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou
7. Ricardo Arona
8. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
9. Tito Ortiz
10. Kazuhiro Nakamura

Both divisions have 7 UFC fighters in the top 10. However, LHW has the top 5 while HW has 3 out of top 5. Also, HW doesn't have the best fighter in the world in Fedor.

I think there are much better fighters outside of the top 10 in the LHW as well in comparison to HW.

Winner: LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
