I know I said earlier that they shouldn't rush him and put him in with guys like Rampage, Liddell, or Shogun. But I'm just so sick of seeing guys put in fights to lose, there's no place for jobbers in MMA - upsets be damned.
And yeah he did sound real cocky in the interview, but I've heard audio ones where he came off a lot more humble. I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that the comment about Fedor was just a joke.

this isnt the first time he insulted fedor... in a previous interview when they asked him what does he think about fedor... and he said something along the lines of he needs to cheat to win (in reference to rope grabbing)

I understand that he wants to support fighters in his camp but to disregard someone's abilities just bcuz they're opponents of ur friends is immature.
Personally, I think he needs to taste a few losses and grow up in some other organization before being signed by the UFC. The truth is UFC doesn't need him, he needs UFC to prove himself. He still has to estabilish himself more in several fights before being given big money.

Indeed. I'd like to see him fight each of those guys again down the road, now that there's some footage of him; not saying for sure that the results would be different, but you gotta wonder.
And shit, if the guy can back up all his smack talk, I'll be the first to give him props for that. But you can come across as confident without being an asshole...look at Couture and Rampage.

It's harder for these guys to fight someone with very little footage to put together a gameplan with. Now that we know his striking is excellent, his next top 10 competitor will be more prepared for that. I think he's getting a little big for his britches and hugging Lindland and Hendo's nuts a little to tight. Yeah Fedor grabbed the rope, big fucking deal, doesn't mean Lindland wouldn't have gotten his ass handed to him.

Man really some of you guys need to think about what you say before posting I swear.
The "Fedor's stand up sucks" comment I mean to be fair "Fedor is never going to be confused with a K-1 kickboxer" was another comment I heard from someone, yes it's worded a lot better but it means the same thing and incidentally it's also true. Yes fedor is good, yes fedor is undefeated but he is beatable maybe instead of tellin soko to get off lindlands ass you should get off fedor's.
Why shouldn't he ask to fight top competition? He obviously doesn't care if he loses he just wants to fight the best and get even better. I mean for saying he's so arrogant he constantly mentions about Hendo beating his ass in training, now if I thought I was the best that would be something I didn't mention.
Whatever you guys are just going to flame me but ya know those are my thoughts on the fight game and I agree with a lot of the points soko brought up.

Yeah I wouldnt say that Soko represented himself well in that interview, he has to realize that he is still new to the sport and that he should take what he can get if he is going to be fighting in the world elite organization. I know he beat a couple of the best but he still has to prove himself.......Fedor bad stand up? hahaha thats all I have to say.

Bottom line, sign him to a 4-6 fight contract, tell him he gets 1 or 2 cans, if he beats them he gets a top 5. If you're so confident that you dont need a can, then just agree and tool them to prove yourself. I love the guy but at only 4-1 u shouldnt be too picky. Get into the UFC first, then once u beat a couple guys and people know who you are then you get the fights you want.
