Default PRIDE's camera angles

I've been watching the PRIDE shows on FSN for a while now and it seems that 2-3 times every show they cut away from the action at the worst possible time to show a wide shot of the crowd cheering.
Eg: I got to see a great shot of the crowd at some arena while the announcers said "SOCCER KICK BY CROCOP! AND ANOTHER KICK TO THE HEAD". When they cut back to the ring the match was over. It also happened with Rampage v Randelman.

I have a few questions. Did this happen often during the PPV's? Are the KO's deemed to "violent" for TV so they just edit them out? or Are they just showing the American fans how to cheer?

For whatever reason Fox Sports was worried about too much violence during certain parts so they have the crowd shots edited in.

I guess FSN cares about thier image, especially when you have all the critics nowadays, but aint that what TV ratings are for jeez lol

They don't do that crap on the PPV's. They need to find another way to edit out the violence. The crowd shots are teasers because you know something good is happening. I don't understand why they cut away from the fight instead of just cutting out the objectionable material and cleanly editing it together.

Nah on the PPV/DVD they show it all, its comes down to the image of FSN and I think it might have something to deal with where UFC doesnt want to show the audience these strikes because they dont have these rules and they dont want a major market to like these rules because they wont be allowed within the UFC organization.

they also add them in to block out rules that are no longer legal (i.e. stomps and soccer kicks)

They did it long before Pride was bought out. They've done it that way since almost the beginning.

Well either way, i was say it was pushed by a gov'ing body to not show these strikes/moves because they are illegal on are soil.

I like the way they cut to show some footage of Herschel Walker waving to the camera. They use the same clip inserted into different fights.

Later.

Nah it was Fox Sports. They were worried about putting viewers off, so they decided to cut the footage.
