IFL Announces Grand Prix Participants and Locations

The IFL has announced the fighters set to participate in the upcoming IFL World Grand Prix. The first round of the Grand Prix is set for November 3rd at the Sears Centre in Chicago, with the finals taking place December 29th at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT.

Lightweights:

No. 1 Wagnney Fabiano (Dragons) vs. No. 4 John Gunderson (Lions)
No. 2 Chris Horodecki (Anacondas) vs. No. 3 Bart Palaszewski (Silverbacks)
Alternate: Shad Lierley (Tiger Sharks)

Welterweights:

No. 1 Delson Heleno (Pitbulls) vs. No. 4 Mark Miller (Red Bears)
No. 2 Antonio McKee (Sabres) vs. No. 3 Jay Hieron (Anacondas)
Alternate: Pat Healy (Lions)

Middleweights:

No. 1 Benji Radach (Anacondas) vs. No. 4 Brent Beauparlant (Dragons)
No. 2 Matt Horwich (Wolfpack) vs. No. 3 Brian Foster (Razorclaws)
Alternate: Fabio Leopoldo (Pitbulls)

Light Heavyweight:

No. 1 Vladimir Matyushenko (Sabres) vs. No. 4 Alex Schoenauer (Anacondas)
No. 2 Mike Whitehead (Scorpions) vs. No. 3 Mike Ciesnolevicz (Silverbacks)
Alternate: Jamal Patterson (Pitbulls)

Heavyweight:

No. 1 Ben Rothwell (Silverbacks) vs. No. 4 Roy Nelson (Lions)
No. 2 Antoine Jaoude (Condors) vs. No. 3 Reese Andy (Tiger Sharks)
Alternate: Bryan Vetell (Pitbulls)

i think its cool that Horodecki and Bartimus are rematching as well as Rothwell and Nelson. i thought the first fights they had were great and both were bad decisions. hopefully the rematches are just as good and a clear winner is decided. anyway, here are my picks for the GP:

LW: Bartimus
WW: Antonio McKee
MW: Benji Radach
LHW: Vladdy Mat
HW: Rothwell

also, anyone know if all the fights will be one night or spread over two events?

EDIT: Nevermind, i just read that it'll be two nights, the first being November 3rd in Chicago(i might have to go to that) and the second being December 29th in Connecticut

Rothwell was gifted too. That was a shit decision. Rothwell cheated too- grabbed the ropes so f'ing clearly and nothing came of it. I hope Nelson beats his ass.

Ask how they are trying to bring in good HW considering they seem to be hard to find.

And also, when are they going to do single championship belts? Or are they even planning on ever having one guy be a champ in a weight division?

When is the next "Legends" fight, ie the Gracie/Miletich fight
