BodogFIGHTS "Next Big Thing" - Who?
Who's going to be the next big signing BodogFIGHT makes? If anyone at all. The Fedor deal didn't exactly put them over the top or anything. Do you guys think the company's going to now focus on breeding their own big names, or hoping to sign someone like Josh Barnett or UFC have-been's like Tito Ortiz?
Honestly - I think Tito's going to sign with Bodog. I don't know why, I have no inclinations other than Tito's the kind of guy I'd see going to Bodog, if only to create some noise and sell himself. And Arlovski, maybe - 'Cause I really think the competition in the UFC's caught up to the guy (And I think he knows it).
Bodog going to push Eddie Alvarez? Sign Denis Kang? Will Royce go from the commentating booth and into a farewell fight in the ring? Personally, I think Bodog would be better served growing as a company. Not competing with the UFC, but grooming that farm system they got goin' - With Rodrigo Damm and other hopefuls. I'm a big fan of the ring over the cage, so I just hope it doesn't go fuckin' bankrupt by signing one-fight deals with big ass names. I've caught some great fights on Bodog, and the fact I don't know many of the guys hasn't really bothered me as much as I thought it would. And I'm the epitome of a casual fan, so.

who knows. fedor is the best thing that any organization could sign and they can say that they did, tito at bodog would be a huge mistake, he would def want more money then he is paid at the ufc and he is already the most over paid fighter in mma. he would bring them any talent eaither since he has none. but i would hate to see barnett go to bodog since he would go well with the ufc fighters. its going to be hard bodog or anyother orgainization to catch up with the ufc since they already have so many stars. i really like bodog and what they do, i cannot get enough mma just from the ufc, ifl and pride re-runs. and any mma related thing on tv i would watch for sure.

Calvin has boat loads of money, he can afford any fighter in MMA, we will see what he decides to do but realistically, 1 fighter at a time is not going to do much.
If he was able to snag Fedor and Wanderlie, people would purchase any card with Fedor or Wanderlei on it.

agree wand would a nice purchase and fedor and wand were the driving force behind pride and so was gomi. calvin def has a shit load of money and def coudl afford a lot of fighters, if he used a lot of it and banked on bodog he would be able to get a lot of great fighters, but i doubt that he would ever spend that much money even though he has a shit load of it.

i hope bodog does well, somebody has to compete with the ufc to keep them somewhat honest. gomi, wand, kang and fedor could only help, and if the ifl goes under, i hope bodog benefits the most. shamrock Vs shamrock, the ultimate sibling rivalry, they got the money to make it happen.
2 posters, 2 tito bashers, wtf.

He does have a boatload of money - But I don't know. How much did Fedor do for Bodog? And the competition just doesn't seem up to par.
I think they need to build those horses they've got. I don't know, putting on a live event on television (though Bodog's deal seems to be really lame at ION). They've put on some great fights, what they need to do is showcase that young talent. Create names (none of which should include SHITTY fucking bands and Russian prostitutes that go by, "BIF" or any variation thereof).
A big name like Barnett or Wanderlai or Fedor - I don't know. Unless they've got solid competition, and straighten their television situation out, I just don't see any of those guys doing much for Bodog.

Don't they pay big name fighters such a high ammount that they can only sign them for one or two fights? How long is their average contract?

Just to be clear, by you guys saying Fedor signing with Bodog, you are referring to the one time Lindland fight, correct? Or have I completely missed something?
