hum very interesting, I hadn't heard anything about this. So that means ShoXC is going to be the free stuff we get on Showtime and Elite XC will prolly be all PPV maybe? Looks like Showtime is really going to push MMA.
Or not, as of right now MMAweekly has EliteXC's next show on Sep 15 being on Showtime, sounds good to me.

EliteXC bought ICON Sport. So they will have a combined event in Hawaii on September 15 with Lawlor, Diaz, Carano and Krazy Horse-Joe Boxer on the card.

It's a good idea for Showtime to push MMA. I think anyone who watches boxing will agree with me that HBO's boxing is in a diffrent league than Showtime, which usually has the second tier stuff. With the current state of the two sports maybe SHO should keep the boxing, but focus on MMA.

If EliteXC has bought Icon then I'd really like to see Lawler vs. Ninja at some time in the future to unify the EXC and Icon MW belts.
As far as SHOXC goes, it's basically just the smaller feeder cards that go into the bigger EliteXC cards. Like how Showtime has Shobox in addition to their bigger boxing cards.

bumping this thread because the card is Friday night, just wanna make sure no one forgets. I think the Berto/Noons fight has FOTY potential, really excited about it and hope the KJ can bounce back.

Hell yeah! That's gonna be a fun fight. Can't believe Bennet got that lucky shot in on KJ. I will say, if Bennet could ever improve his bjj defense, he'd be a bad ass! |
