I am still a little sore about the Leben fight, he has lost three out of the last four fights in the ufc's weakest devision. I personally see no other reason to keep him around other than his mainstream marketability which is good for them but bad for the base fans.

Unless swick requested that fight w/ Leben it seems kinda wrong to make that matchup, With Leben's recent string of losses compared to swick's string of wins w/ only one loss to Okami.

yeah swick has nothing to gain from beating leben, ive been stoked to see him fight at 170 but when i heard it was leben it was a total let down. but oh well, hopefully we get to see leben get his ass knocked out.

This has to be one of those situation where the UFC is counting their egg before it hatches. Leben said he couldn't wait to finish off his contract so he could shop around. I think the UFC wants to feed him to Swick as a rebound win.

Swick talked about wanting a rematch on TUF, when Leben wouldn't shut up about KOing him. The issue is, Swick has improved leaps and bounds in the last three years...if anything, Leben has gotten sloppier and now he's gun shy.

I actually like watching Chris Leben get beat up, so I'm looking forward to the Swick fight.

After his contract though, I see him more in the IFL.
