Steroid Investigations

I know the steroid issue has been beat to death with MLB, but with the recent suspensions of some well known MMA fighters, does anyone think there will be a big investigation of how these fighters are geting the stuff.

I know everyone has heard former Senator George Mitchell has this big steroid investigation going on.

I'm new and just want to hear some thoughts.

Nah. It's not isolated to only one organization and the problem with MLB was the collective bargaining agreement, which MMA does not have.

The controversy with MLB was that MLB did NOT TEST for 'roids. The MMA orgs are already testing and punishing those who fail.

The thing with the Mitchell investigation is that no one is really cooperating with him. He has no authority and can't make guys talk, it's all based on information players and ex-players voluntarily give. Giambi is fucking around with a tease here and there but it's not doing anything. The baseball investigation is more of a gesture (and fear tactic) than an actual functioning investigation.

I still wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see more guys in MMA test pos in the near future. It seems like their testing methods are a little inconsistent, so it kind of makes me wonder if some guys have been getting away with it. If they implement stricter testing, more names will probably come out. It would be unfortunate, but that's my guess.
