K9 Bundrage takes on Kassim Ouma
also from fightnews.com
Cornelius “K9” Bundrage (27-3, 16 KOs) will look to make it back to back weeks of upsets for participants of the hit reality show “The Contender” when he faces former IBF jr. middleweight titlist Kassim “The Dream” Ouma (25-4-1, 15 KOs) during this week’s ESPN2 Friday Night Fights at the Seneca Allegheny Casino and Hotel in Salamanca, NY.
During last week’s FNF telecast, season three alum Brian Vera pulled off a shocking TKO victory over the previously unbeaten Andy Lee.
Bundrage had mixed feelings about the outcome.
“I’m with The Contenders, but Andy Lee is a stable mate. That fight reminded me of the Mike Tyson/Buster Douglass fight. I was shocked. You’ve gotta be prepared to fight everybody the same. You have to look at every fight as a championship fight,” Bundrage stated last weekend on the KNR2 Boxing show.

Should be a damn entertaining fight. Bundrage is tough as hell with good power and Ouma throws 100 punches around. I see know way this couldn't be good.

Ouma needs a good showing or hes almost done in this sport. With his style he needs to be amped to fight or else he just isnt effective. If he doesnt fight hungry he could lose, and of late it seems he hasnt had the same fire he used to. Ive always wondered if he could make weight in Jr Welter.

Should be an entertaining fight. I think Ouma is a step up for Bundrage. I like both fighters, but kind of want to see Bundrage win.

The fight was sloppy and lame. I wanted Bundrage to win too, but not like that. What a dissapointing main event.
The fight leading up to it were great, though.

I agree. It was an extra let down for me. I Tivo'd Friday Night Fights because my wife and I went out for our anniversary and it didnt get the last three rounds because it went over the time slot.
The part I did see was not impressive. I thought Ouma looked good for a couple of rounds and that was it. I guess K9 came on strong the last third of the fight.

What a disappointing fight. And I'm not really upset that the fight was mediocre, I'm upset because I was wrong about the fight. Do you know how much that shit sticks in your craw? It's almost as bad as when I predicted that the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie was gonna bomb horribly, Johnny Depp notwithstanding. Ouma's done now, he's relegated to gatekeeper status now and I'm sure every single up and coming prospect at 154 is gonna want to fight him now. He looked pretty bad, and what's worse is that Bundrage didn't even look impressive. Just a sad, sad night.
