The worst part about it was that Cotto wasn't imo trying.

the 5th round i believe or the 4th Cotto didn't do anything but dance around for 2 minutes. Then with a minute left beat Gomez up some more.

I thought it was be fun to watch that, but it wasn't. It was actually sad to see someone get beat that bad.

Yep, he had no business being in with Cotto.

The Showtime fights were much better to watch tonight.

Yea, I was a little depressed watching this, I know you guys warned me that this would happen, but I held out hope.lol

It was like Anderson Silva fighting Edwin Dewees.lol

Still like the hell out of Gomez though.

He showed that he wasn't a quitter and thats really what counted in this fight.

Gomez tried, he didn't just go in there an let Cotto beat on him, well Cotto did beat on him, but thats because Cotto was just to damn good for him.

Even when his corner told him in between 2nd an 3rd round, that if he doesn't do something its going to get stopped because he is taking to many shots. He came out an tried.

I kind of think Cotto was being a dick by not ending it sooner, but I also can't help but think Cotto was doing Gomez a favor by letting it go a few rounds. Because Cotto heard what Gomez corner said, an didn't throw a single punch for 2 minutes.

I wouldn't mind seeing Clintron vs Gomez. i think that fight would go the distance.

Both fights were two of the most lopsided, high-profile beatdowns I've seen in a while in boxing. Margarito showed he's probably P4P the absolute toughest man in boxing, it's like his chin is one part Hagler, one part Chavez, and one part Basilio....hard as diamond. He laid a beating on Cintron, but to Cintron's credit, he took his beating like a man. Gomez too, for that matter. I can't wait for July now, it's a fight I'd actually consider buying on PPV within the next year. Fuck Mayweather, if he doesn't want to fight real fights anymore, than I'll just watch two real men throwdown in the ring.
