Not impressed at all with Roy. The exact opposite.

IMO, its time for Jones to step away from the game. He had zero heart out there. Perhaps if hadn't soley relied on his phenomal physical gifts and mastered his craft like a true technician, when mother nature started dulling his athletism, he would still be a great boxer.

Look at Bernard Hopkins. He wasn't the pure athlete of Jones caliber, so he put in the work and became a master of his craft. Even when B-hop's age started to slow him down, he was still a great boxer because he didn't neglect the technical aspects of the sport and was always learning.

But thats not the case with Roy Jones. He still relies on athletism that isn't as otherworldly as it once appeared. Put pressure on him and he covers up. And the combinations? Few and far between. Now its one shot at a time.

I'm sorry, but B-Hop dominated a prime Tito every round and KO'ed him. Winky shut a slightly shot Tito out for 12 rounds and toyed with him. And a much larger Roy had his hands full for 6 rounds against a completely shot Tito who was fighting 16 pounds above his prime weight class. B-Hop, Winky, Calzaghe, or Kessler would carve Jones up and make it look easy.

It was a great career for Roy, but I have no desire to see him box again. P4P king like he says? Sorry, you're nothing more than a has been and never will be again.

he seemed more intent on taunting than using the right.

Very dissapointed in Trinidad, that's what ring rust will do to you. He should've stayed retired or cameback earlier or fight a lesser known opponet before fighting Jones. The card was meh as usual boxing card. And this Win over Tito doesn't do anything for Jones career.

Roy Jones is one of the Top 10 greatest boxers to ever live

hes got the names

hes got the talent

he has the resume for Top 10, there is no need for him to box anymore.

WOW saying he is just a has been really shows you no nothing about boxing. Because Roy at 168 is hard to beat for anyone even at his age. I really just believe you are upset you didn't see a knock out. I seen something more last night, i seen Roy prove something.

I disagree with what your saying.

Roy didn't have his hands full at any point.

Roy toyed with Tito that whole fight.

Roy hit Tito when he wanted.

Dropped him when he wanted.

Roy just wanted to idk what he wanted but he was toying with him. Roy would hit him and dance away. He would rock him and dance away. Emmanuel commented on this in the 7th round. I believe it was the 7th. He said something like he thought Roy really lost it but now sees that Roy is just playing with Tito.

Tito knew it, I knew it, Roy knew it.

I know Roy said he wanted to knock Tito out but that was talk. I believe he wanted to show he could go 12 rounds an show his speed and power was still there an imo he showed that. Roy looked very good last night.

Sorry. I disagree. Roy was not the same Roy of old. If you were impressed by that performance, watch a little more boxing and learn the sport.

What else would you expect Emmanuel to say? He's calling an HBO fight and was cashing an HBO paycheck. Get real.

Roy said he was gonna knock Tito out in the fourth or fifth. He didn't. He didn't even come close. Then he starts running his mouth and you are drinking the kool-aid.

Tito is shot as a fighter. Tito knew it. I knew it. Roy knew it. And he still couldn't close the show. A true p4p boxer would have finished Tito with ease and eaten him alive in the ring.

Roy said he was still the P4P king because fighters like Floyd, B-Hop, and Oscar don't throw combininations. But Roy has lost all ability to put his punches together. He's a pot shotter now with a good lead right. Nothing more.

All you got last night was a less skilled, less powerful, slower "Reluctant" Roy who is not a warrior. But go ahead and be impressed with him. As for me, I'd rather be a boxing fan.

i agree and disagree with both of you i dont truly think roy could knock him out but it seemed like he was more then happy with cashing in on a decision he never really went for the kill when he had tito down but as a boxer he still is a great fighter.....top 10?? maybe, But he needs better competition to prove wether he deserves to be classed as top 10, i saw allot of old roy last night and it was good to watch

He never even seemed winded. between rounds he was relaxed as hell and yackin at anyone who would listen. he was easily picking at Tito. Its almost like he chose not to jump in because he didnt want to lose the speed edge. Either way... his relexes and hand speed were much improved from fights like the hanshaw fight. He at least acted like his old self in demeanor and maybe he'll take more risks in the next fight knowing he can still pepper people with freakish combos. he could've knocked Tito out. Why didnt he?

I don't think i said Roy was the old Roy, and if i did that is not what i meant.

I just meant Roy last night looked much better then he has in a long time.

I felt Roy toyed with Tito that whole fight.

why i say that is when Roy would hurt Tito he would stop throwing punches smile and dancing or move away.

Roys combos where still there when he wanted to use them. Thats another reason i felt he just toyed with Tito.

I have been a huge Roy fan my whole life, i know Roy is slower and not as strong as he use to be but He has been boxing his whole life an his skills are going but he is still a good boxer and like i said at super mw he will give anyone a run for their money.

I really think jones even busted a sweat fighting tito, thrughought the fight jones hit what he wanted, when he wanted, he completley tooled tito imo, i din have it as close as the judges becuz jones was picking his shots very wisely, Although he may not have the physical attributes of his oldslef, his boxing computer of a brain is clearly still working very well.

However, that being said, i think jones could beat b-hop and winky wright if he comes in, in shape, but i dun think he culd beat calzaghe, idk, itll be an interesting fight to watch but i give a serious edge to calzaghe
