One specific time that comes to mind was about a year ago, we had this guy come in wearing a brown belt. Obviously he attracted a lot of attention because no one knew him, but people noticed the color around his waste.
I've had my blue for 2 yrs, and trust me it is a legitimate blue. I could have probably been close to purple if I had been competing, but school has really put a halt on competition. Back to my point, the color of belts dont mean shit. It's who gave you the belt. I along with a couple of blue and purple belts tapped this dude with the "brown belt" repeatedly. You bet your ass he NEVER wore that brown belt to class again.
To quote Royce, a Blackbelt only covers 2 inches of your ass. YOU have to cover the rest.

Pablo Popovitch. The same guy who trained Bj Penn for his fight against Sean Sherk, amoung other UFC fighters, for their fights? And I think I've won enough tournaments and rolling competitions to be a legit black belt. And just because your school brings in jokes, doesn't mean all of them do.

There's the site man. Have fun. And yeah, my Judo and BJJ surely does "cover the rest". ::Shakes Head::
And here is all about Pablo, including the picture of him with Team Penn...
