Serra, to me, caught GSP square and finished him off. If you have the UFC/Pride belt, you obviously beat a world class fighter to get it. Now, as time wears on and the fighter gets older and his skills diminish, I could see an arguement for it but come on, they beat the best to become UFC/Pride champ. Give them the respect they earned. My examples of this are:

Tito Ortiz
Tim Sylvia
Fedor (just because he hasn't fought a big name in a while)

They are world class fighters who beat the best to get their titles! IMO, no champ is over rated.
I never said Fedor was overrated but as far as Tim and Ortiz go, neither one is champ.

In my original post I said it doesn't have everything to do with where they are ranked, that some depended on the attention they get. Case in point, Tito hasn't done anything really since losing to Couture in 04 but yet he's always getting talked about like he's great, he's not.

Tim Sylvia hasn't really done anything since being busted for steroids, he had one good KO over Arlovski, that's it, a bunch of dec or wins against cans. he isn't a very good fighter, he's just bigger than everybody, he's the Shaq of MMA, no real skill, just size.
