People often use quotes to indicate sarcasm. Such is the case in my post. I read the article before posting and understood that he got 40k total. I was referring to :
"Hazelett was hopeful he'd earn the submission bonus, though he admits getting fight-of-the-night honors was "a complete shock."
I'm sure he was pleased about both, but I guess I was specifically referring to the FOTN bonus.
Exact figures aside, I was simply pointing out that not everyone in this sport is greedy. Humble Pie goes a long way.
